C1 ADVANCED 40hr COURSE OF STUDY

C1 Advanced formerly known as CAE, is an high-stake assessment framed by Cambridge to


assess the language ability of individuals in international benchmark of standards

Since this exam is used as an authenticated proof for immigration (study or work abroad),
this exam is framed in such a way to meet the employers and institutional standards.

In paper 1, there are totally 8 parts, of which first 4 checks candidates grammatical and
usage ability of English.

This part being the most tricky and potential one to score high, greater emphasize on
practice has to be given to students.

You need to take the information in the first sentence and re-write it, using the word in
bold so that the second sentence has exactly the same meaning. You cannot change the
word in bold in ANY way. You can use between THREE and SIX words for each space.
Remember, contractions such as I'm or shouldn't count as two words.

One most difficult scenario faced by the CAE teachers, is there ain’t no previous year
question system followed by Cambridge assessment team. Every year there seem to be
a different question with increasing difficulty.

One best way to approach this section is to follow a standard reference book suggested
by Cambridge team.
