Evidencia 2: Workshop “Products and services”

consulte el material complementario denominado Integration of products and services.

1. Find the main idea of paragraphs 1, 2, 9, 10, 11, and 12, and write them in a paragraph.

Paragraph 1

Three factors combine to reshape the foundations of the modern economy. First, the
digital revolution, Second International competition and Third, cultural and structural
trends.

Paragraph 2

Currently, successful companies are designing attractive products for consumers, which
have an added value with the integration of services.

Paragraph 9

To achieve the objective of making Europe's services sector more dynamic, integrated
and productive. Now more than ever, services must be integrated with the product and
thus achieve more profits.

Paragraph 10

The Internet and digital communications have generated a profound transformation in the
global economy, as did other inventions in the past.
However, it is important to understand that there is no such thing as "digital economy" but
All companies, particularly traditional industries need to prepare for digitalization.
In Europe, companies have been slow to adapt and for the most part do not have a digital
strategy, only a small percentage have the advantage of digital opportunities.
Paragraph 11

Technology is revolutionizing the automobile industry.

Tesla which is a technology company has tried which can become an automotive
company, making the designs of the cars and the final product is assembled in contracted
factories. Electronics and automation have become key components in the assembly line.

Paragraph 12

With the slowdown in growth in emerging markets, developing countries are increasingly
moving in the value chain, competing with producers and providers of advanced economy
services.

The next decades will be marked by a continuous process of convergence as local sectors
can scale to more advanced production
by adopting the latest technologies and supply of products and services worldwide.

Studies have selected that the added value of European and Chinese export offers have
fallen from 85% to 65% over a period of 10 years, this means that competitive advantages
are more fluid than they used to be, that require dynamic approaches to competitiveness
and productivity.

2. Write a summary of ten lines from the text.

The text basically talks about the European market and what it must do to achieve a
modernized market that can place Europe one step ahead of its global competitors,
eliminating trade barriers for the exchange of products and services. It also describes
the new approach from producer to consumer, the new economy that is more dynamic
and agile, driving innovation, technology and giving added value to the product or
service. The consumer and the user are increasingly important for the new economy,
by virtue of being more active and receptive, giving importance to the value chain by
making a customized production and the growing importance of investments in
intangibles, such as software or design , which increasingly exceed investments in
tangible goods, such as machines or buildings: in the main economies.
3. Choose a paragraph and translate it with your own words.

Productivity Growth and High-Skilled

Jobs in Services
For a long time, services have been perceived as inferior
in comparison to manufacturing. Weak in productivity
growth vis-à-vis industry, and with jobs that are often
seen as low in quality, the service sector has been
prioritised by few countries in Europe. Yet, the potential
is enormous. Precisely because productivity in services
is comparatively low, quick wins could be reaped in
terms of growth and innovation by integrating markets
and increasing cross-border competition, for instance
in business services. And far from being the domain of
the low-skilled, the service sector actually employs more
highly skilled workers than manufacturing (Figure 7). For
policy makers, it is time to understand that a healthy and
thriving industry sector is inherently dependent on the
quality and integration of Europe’s service markets.

7. pursuing perseguir
