JOINT ENTRANCE EXAMINATION (MAIN) –2020

PUBLIC NOTICE
Date: 3rd September-2019

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the JEE (Main)-2020 Examination twice for admission to
Undergraduate Programs in NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), etc. in the next
academic year (2020-2021).The First JEE(Main)-2020 will be conducted in January 2020 between 6 th January (Monday)
and 11th January (Saturday) 2020 and the Second JEE(Main)-2020 will be conducted between 3 rd April (Friday) and 9th
April (Thursday) 2020.

As per the eligibility criteria for B.Arch and B.Planning courses and according to the opinion of Subject Experts, a few
changes in the pattern of the question paper(s) and number of question(s) for B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch and B.Planning have
been approved by the JEE Apex Board (JAB) for the conduct of JEE (Main)-2020 Examination.
The pattern of question paper(s) is given below:

Note: The timing for those Candidates who opt for B.Arch. and B.Planning. (both) will be 02:30 p.m. to 06:00 p.m. (IST)

The above Examinations will be held in “Computer Based Test” (CBT) Mode only, except that the Drawing Test for
B.Arch. will be held in “Pen & Paper” (offline) mode. A candidate may appear in B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch and B.Planning
depending upon the course/s he/she wishes to pursue.

The candidates aspiring to take admission to the undergraduate programs at IITs for the year 2020 will also have to appear
in B. E. /B. Tech. Paper of JEE (Main)-2020. Based on the performance in the B.E./B. Tech. of JEE (Main)-2020, number
of top candidates as per the requirement for JEE (Advanced) 2020 will be eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced)-
2020.Admission to IITs will be based on category -wise All India Rank (AIR) in JEE(Advanced),subject to the conditions
as would be mentioned in JEE(Advanced)-2020 Website.

For the April JEE(Main)-2020, a separate notice will be issued later on and the candidates will be required to apply
separately. However, candidates are not required to compulsorily appear in both the tests i.e. January JEE(Main)-2020
and April JEE(Main)-2020. In case, a candidate appears in both the tests, the better of the two scores will be used for the
admissions and eligibility of JEE(Advanced)-2020.

Candidates, who desire to appear in January JEE (Main) –2020, may see the detailed Information Bulletin available on
the website www.nta.ac.in. and apply for the same only online between 03.09.2019 (Tuesday) and 30.09.2019 (Monday).
The fees can be paid only online up to 01.10.2019(Tuesday).

रा ीय परी ा एजसी (NTA) ारा एनआईटी (NITs), आईआईआईटी (IIITs) और अ य केि त िव पोिषत तकनीक सं थान (CFTIs), आिद म पूव नातक
काय म के िलए वेश हे तु वष म दो बार संयु वेश परी ा (मु य)-2020 का आयोजन होगा। थम संयु वेश परी ा (मु य)-2020 का आयोजन
जनवरी, 2020 म िदनांक 06.01.2020 (सोमवार) से िदनांक 11.01.2020 (शिनवार) के म य होगा एवं ि तीय संयु वेश परी ा (मु य)-2020 क परी ा का
आयोजन अ ल ै , 2020 म िदनांक 03.04.2019 (शु वार) से िदनांक 09.04.2020 (बृह पितवार) के म य होगा।

नोट: B. Arch और B. Planning (दोन ) का चयन करने वाले अ यिथय के िलए परी ा का समय अपरा ह 02:30 से 06:00 तक (भारतीय मानक समय))होगा।

उपयु सभी परी ाएं , B. Arch. क ाइंग परी ा के को छोड़कर, केवल “कं यूटर आधा रत परी ा” (CBT) मोड म आयोिजत क जाएं गी। B. Arch. क
ाइंग परी ा “कागज-कलम” (ऑफलाइन) मोड म आयोिजत क जाएगी। अ यथ अपनी इ छानुसार पाठ् य म के आधार पर B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch और B.
Planning म उपि थत हो सकते ह।

वष 2020 म आई.आई.टी. म पूव नातक काय म म वेश लेने के इ छुक अ यिथय को भी संयु वेश परी ा (मु य)-2020 क B. E. / B.Tech परी ा म
उपि थत होना पड़े गा। संयु वेश परी ा (मु य)-2020 के B. E. / B.Tech परी ाफल के आधार पर, संयु वेश परी ा (एडवां ड) क आव यकता के
अनुसार शीष अ यथ संयु वेश परी ा (एडवां ड)-2020 म उपि थत होने के पा ह गे। आई.आई.टी. म वेश संयु वेश परी ा (एडवां ड) म ेणी-वार
अिखल भारतीय रक (AIR) पर आधा रत होगा, जो संयु वेश परी ा (एडवां ड)-2020 क वेबसाइट पर उपल ध शत के अधीन होगा।

ि तीय संयु वेश परी ा (मु य) 2020 का आयोजन अ ल ै , 2020 म िदनांक 03.04.2019 (शु वार) से िदनांक 09.04.2020 (बृह पितवार) के म य िकया
जाएगा, िजसके िलए बाद म एक अलग सूचना िव ापन जारी िकया जाएगा और अ यिथय को अलग से आवेदन करना होगा। तथािप, उ मीदवार को अिनवाय
प से दोन परी ाओं यानी जनवरी संयु वेश परी ा (मु य)-2020 और अ ल ै संयु वेश परी ा (मु य)-2020 म उपि थत होने क आव यकता नह है।
यिद एक अ यथ दोन परी ाओं म उपि थत होता है तो ऐसी ि थित म, दोन परी ाओं म से बेहतर कोर का योग वेश और संयु वेश परी ा (एडवां ड)-
2020 क पा ता के िलए िकया जाएगा। परी ा म सि मिलत होने के इ छुक अ यथ बेवसाइट www.nta.ac.in पर उपल ध जनवरी संयु वेश परी ा (मु य)-
2020 का िव तृत सूचना बुलेिटन देख सकते ह।

जनवरी संयु वेश परी ा (मु य)-2020 म उपि थत होने के िलए अ यिथय को 03.09.2019 (मंगलवार) से 30.09.2019 (सोमवार) के म य केवल
ऑनलाइन आवेदन करना होगा। शु क का भुगतान 01.10.2019 (मंगलवार) तक ऑनलाइन िकया जा सकता है।
