Goals
Students will be able to…
• Understand how to present and critique student’s
work and work of others.
• Developing problem solving, critical and creative
thinking skills through the application of the design
cycle.
• Enter information accurately using appropriate
keyboarding techniques and software that allows for
storage, retrieval, and editing of material.
• Respect for others viewpoints and appreciate
alternate solutions to problems.
• Learn how the multi-layered systems of the internet
function as you collaboratively solve problems and
puzzles about encoding and transmitting data, both
‘unplugged’ and using Code.org’s Internet Simulator.
• Learn the JavaScript language with turtle
programming in Code.org’s App Lab coding
environment. Learn general principles of algorithms
and program design that apply to any programming
language.
