Technology division provides market expansion services across the technology industry including
agricultural equipment, hospitality equipment, industrial materials and supplies, infrastructure equipment,
precision machinery, scientific instrumentation, semiconductor, photovoltaic and electronics, specialized
industrial applications and textile machinery. With more than 1,370 specialists, including over 500 service
engineers, DKSH serves a customer base of more than 25,000 companies. Operating through 80
business locations and more than 25 showrooms and demo labs, it operates in 18 countries. Under this
division, the company accompanies its clients from developing a business strategy to translating it into an
Asian reality. Its services include market entrance consultancy, marketing, product development, sales,
application engineering, after-sales services and on-the-spot training. It operates as a link between
suppliers and customers in Asia, Europe, and North America and offers opportunities for suppliers to
expand their markets. In FY2015, the Technology business unit reported revenue of CHF372.1 million,
which accounted for 3.7% of the company’s total revenue.
The company operates in 770 business centers in 36 countries. It has 740 offices in Asia Pacific and 30
in Europe and the Americas. The company classifies its operations into four geographical segments,
namely, Thailand, Greater China, Malaysia/Singapore and Other. In FY2015, the company generated
33.2% of the revenue from Thailand, followed by Greater China with 31.7%, Malaysia/Singapore with
19.1% and Other countries with 16%.
