Annotated Bibliography: How to Make a Story-- Process Notes

Ohler, J. (2019). storyconcepts. [online] Storyconcepts.blogspot.com. Available at:

http://storyconcepts.blogspot.com/ [Accessed 30 Jan. 2019].

Ohler analyzes and explains the concepts and elements that make a good story. The first

step to having a good story is having a story core. The story core is a the heart of the story and it

consists of three parts; a problem, transformation, and solution. The second step is to create a

story map. Story maps accommodate plot, detail and movement from the basic components in

the story core. The third step is to describe the story movement within the map; every story goes,

alternately, towards its goal, and then away from its goal. The Fourth step is to develop a script.

Creating a "voice-over narration"allows the audience to hear the narrative while watching images

and video on the screen. The last step is to create a story table. Story tables allow you to combine

your script with ideas about your images.

Author: Jason Ohler has been an online blogger since 2008. He has wrote a variety of blog posts

that cover a wide range of topics in psychology.

concept and expanding on it.
