Overview 

Have students improvise like noises from book with equipment in room with musical intent.

Squeak, Rumble, WHOMP! WHOMP! WHOMP! By Paul Rogers

sounds;

Rationale 

● To engage students in an improvisatory experience that is guided by the book.

● I can have everybody get up and move at least 2 times in the lesson.

Detailed Process 

Time Required
3 minutes 1) Read Book
30 seconds 2) Explain activity to students
5 minutes 3) Read Book again with students performing the activity in between
30 seconds 4) Reflect on experience and sounds

Assessments 
I will assess them within the last page of the book where all the sounds combine and I will have students go
to a sound that another student made and try and recreate it with their musical ability.

Size
Students choose their instruments in the room so they have the ability to choose a size
that best fits them

Color Students choose their instruments in the room so they have the ability to choose a color
that best fits them

Pacing Students will be in pairs allowing students with pacing help needed have peers around to
help them think and grow
