“The Earth’s greatest gorge”. Then Grand Canyon is located in northwestern Arizona. It is
vastness is 217 miles long, and its widest spans over 17 miles across. It is not surprising that it
has been designated one of the seven wonders of the world.

The walls of the canyon are made of limestone, sandstone lava and other rocks. As the day
passes, the rocks reflect different colours. Many tourists come to the canyon just to watch
the rocks change colour.

Cottonwood and willow trees grow at the bottom of the canyon. Many varieties of cacti grow
here as well. The canyon is also home to many animals, such as bobcats, coyotes, kangaroo
rats and deer.

Today about 4 million visitor come to grand Canyon each year. Seeing the grand canyon is
always a breathtaking and unforgettable experience.

One day long, some sailors set out to sea in their sailing ship. One of them brought his pet
monkey along for the long journey.

When they were far out at sea, a terrible storm overturned their ship. Overyone fell into the
sea and the monkey was sure that he would drown. Suddenly a dolphin appreared and
picked him up.

They soon reached the island and the monkey come down from the dolphin’s back. The
dolphin asked the monkey. “do you know this place?”.

The monkey replied, “ Yes, I do. In fact, the king of the island is my best friend. Do you know
that I am actually a prince?”

Knowing that no one lived on the island, the dolphin said, “ Well, well so you are a prince !
now you can be a king!”

Ginger is a type of tropical plant. It is typically used in a variety of cuisines around the world.
It can also be used to add color and flair to gardens and landscapes. The most common type
of ginger used in cooking today is Zingiberofficinale.

As a root plant ginger can reach up to 4 feet high, with a stalk containing clusters of small,
yellow flowers. When eaten, ginger has a spicy taste –though this dulls as the plant ages,

they age.

even sliced over various items. It is a commonly used ingredient for baking, and is used
regularly in cookies, cakes, pies, and other desserts. This plant can also be used as a
complementary spice to meats, fish, or even pasta dishes.
