I. Preparations Awareness  Presentation of lesson objectives
 The first lesson about faults would be recalled. The following questions
would be asked:
- Do you have any idea how faults are found?
- Do you think all faults have generated earthquakes already?
II. Presentation Activity  The class would be divided into 3 groups.
 Each group would be given copies of a fault map.
 Group 1 would be tasked to locate faults in Luzon. Group 2 would be tasked
to locate faults in Visayas and Mindanao would be assigned to Group 3.
Analysis The following questions would be asked:
 Where are the active faults in Luzon? In Visayas? In Mindanao?
 Where are potentially active faults found?
Abstraction Active and inactive faults would be discussed. The following questions would
be asked:
 Which fault generates an earthquake, an active fault or an inactive fault?
 How are faults discovered?
III. Practice Application The students would be asked to list down at least 5 places with active faults.
Questions:
 Is it advisable to live near these areas?
 How important is fault mapping?
