REQUEST FOR SUPPORT IN MEDIA LITERACY WORSKHOP

Sir/Madam:

Greetings of Peace, Joy and Blessings to you and all of us under your transformational
leadership!

Towards achieving quality education and relevant, lifelong learning, the Pres. Jose P. Laurel NHS
has requested the National Council for Children’s Television (NCCT) to conduct free seminar-workshop
on Media Literacy for learners and parents. The activity aims to enhance the critical thinking skills of
students, teachers, and external stakeholders about key concepts of media, and be engaged in responsible,
critical viewing habits. Blessed as we were, it was granted and will be conducted on September 10 – 12,
2018 for 150 students and on September 13 for 150 parents.

The NCCT will manage the activities and shoulder the expenses for Resource Speakers and
seminar-workshop supplies, but we will need to take charge of the guests’ food and accommodations for
five days. We can avail of affordable housing at the DepEd NEAP Center in Malvar, Batangas, and we
still need a daily service vehicle for them from NEAP Malvar to our school from September 9 to 13.

We also need to invite and ensure attendance of at least 150 learners for the workshop on
September 10-12, and 150 parents for the one-day seminar on September 13, Thursday.

We, thus, request for your ever support and message for the success of said activities. We believe
that through this campaign, our students and citizens will be more motivated and engaged in media
literacy, responsible viewing and critical thinking thru your care and inspiration.
