The research methods were selected from the literature sources
like books and journal articles. All the data collected for the
development of this business plan and its completion were
secondary in nature. In addition to the books and journal articles
being used in the business development plan, other resources 15
were also used such as websites of governmental organisations
to avail the data about the location where the business would be
set-up. The online websites were used to search the appropriate
information about the competitors and their respective locations.
Research was also done to avail the concepts which were to be
involved in this business development plan.
1) The reader should understand that there are different concepts
which make a business plan and understanding them would help
in evaluating and developing businesses in the real world.
2) The future employer should see this report as the presentation
of the theoretical knowledge and concepts which are being
applied to present a business plan very well applicable in real
case scenarios.
The most important theories or concepts which are used in this
major project include theories or SWOT analysis, PESTEL
analysis, Porter’s five forces. All these concept helped in the
development of industry analysis for the making of the major
project which was the business plan for a coffee-house. Industry

analysis helps in analyzing the industry of coffee and coffee
related products in the country. For market analysis, the concept
of marketing mix was used which helped in identification of the
different factors or variables which the company can use to
influence the purchasing decisions of the customer. This would
help the company to grow the business and attract more sales.

condition and the status of the industry of coffee and coffee

would help to score better grades in my course work and also aid
me in getting better jobs in the market.
The main learning from doing this sort of research also lies

have been one more revelation while writing the business

It can be seen that with the help of this project there have been a
development for the networking opportunities as well as there are
some of the greater networking opportunities in the interaction of
this project as well as there are some of the latest issues as well
that have been dealt with gaining of the adequate experience.
There are some of the opportunities that can also upgrade several

skills and the knowledge in order to keep up with the changing of
the issues.
The objectives that have been achieved from the
research and the work in the MBA programme can
be said to be achieved through the fact that there
have been some of the valuable skills which help in
the enhancing of the entrepreneurial spirit and it also 10
is based on the learnings that the people who are
interested in the MBA also introduces to the various
aspects of life such as it can help in attaining the
customer service and also teaches the leadership.
The pursuing of MBA will also result in the fact that

The findings regarding the market and industry helped in the
development of the report as both of these contribute significantly
in a business plan. The findings suggested that market of the
location is very good and thus the business could grow. This is
reinforced by the fact that the industry of the coffee stores and

the taste of coffee beverages. The conclusion was that the business
could be set-up in the location of the capital Male’ in Maldives as
it is a densely populated location.
