This readme document alerts you to important software or hardware compatibility issues. It also
explains where to find more information and tips.

Compatibility
Tekla Structures 2017 is designed to work on Windows 10, Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 SP1.

Tekla Structures is a 64-bit application and therefore it can be installed only on a 64-bit operating
system. The 32-bit Windows operating system is not supported.

Working with existing models
Several different versions of Tekla Structures may coexist on your computer. You can open models
created in older versions of Tekla Structures using Tekla Structures 2017. When you create or save a
model in Tekla Structures 2017, you can only open it in Tekla Structures 2017, not in older versions of
Tekla Structures.

Uninstalling
Use the standard Windows tools to uninstall Tekla Structures.

More information
Access to some Tekla Online services is granted to your organization's user group as part of a
maintenance agreement. Organization administrators manage their own user group in the Tekla
Online Admin Tool.

Tekla User Assistance

Tekla User Assistance is online help and self-support service for Tekla Structures. It contains
instructions, support articles, and instructional videos, and it offers a possibility for feedback.

Tekla Downloads

Go to Tekla Downloads to download software and environment packages.

Tekla Warehouse

Go to Tekla Warehouse to download additional applications and environment content for Tekla
Structures.

Tekla Discussion Forum

Anyone with a current maintenance contract can use Tekla Discussion Forum.
