Project Goal

Goal: Develop an asynchronous online training for the Graduate Departments at

California State University Monterey Bay that provides training and feedback on three-
business process: Graduate Reclassification Process, Course Substitution, and
Academic Requirements Report Training.

Problem/Opportunity Definition
The business processes above were overhauled from traditional paper forms to a
completely online process. These business processes require attention to detail,
knowledge of the software involved, and accuracy when processes as any mistakes can
be detrimental to a student’s records. While these new business processes have
streamlined much of the paperwork involved for both the Office of the Registrar and the
Graduate Departments, no training has been implemented to bridge the gap between
the old business processes and the new online processes.

Proposed Solution
During the duration of the Fall 2019 semester, I will be building an asynchronous online
training in Adobe Captivate which will provide necessary content and feedback through
software simulations.
