Chelsea Backyard Chickens is a group dedicated to lifting Chelsea's ban on backyard chickens. They plan to present a petition and educational plan to the city council in early spring. The group provides guidelines for a proposed updated chicken ordinance allowing up to 4 hens per household with no roosters allowed. They also answer frequently asked questions about chickens and invite interested people to get involved by contacting them.
