IRETE-ALAO

1. Ifa says that you shall be blessed with authority and prosperity. Ifa
also assures you that you will be honoured with position of
responsibility in your life. Ifa advises you to offer ebo in order to
ensure that your commands carry the necessary weight. Ifa advises
you to offer ebo with two roosters, two hens, two guinea-fowls, plenty
of finger rings and money. You also need to feed your Ori with one
guinea fowl. On this, Ifa says:

Ka tee baara

Awo oba lo dia f’Oba

Oba n sunkun apa ohun o k’aye


Ebo ni won ni ko waa se
O gb’ebo, o ru’bo
Apa Oba ni yoo ka o
Ayafi b’oruka o ba kawo
Apa oba ni yoo ka o

Translation
Ka tee baara
The Awo of Oba was the one who cast Ifa for the Oba
When the Oba was lamenting his inability to have authority over his
subjects
He was advised to offer ebo

The authority of the Oba shall contain them all
It is only if the finger ring does not go round the finger
The authority of the oba shall surely contain them all
2. Ifa advises you to consult Ifa and offer ebo before travelling on any
long distance trip. Ifa says that if you are transacting any business
there is the need for you to offer ebo in order to avoid incurring huge
loss in your business. Ifa advises you to offer ebo with one guinea-

When going to the sea to bring money

3. Ifa says that there is the need for you to regularly feed the elders of
the night in order to avoid their contention. Ifa advises you to offer
ebo so that you will always receive the mercy of the elders of the
night and avoid their confrontation at all times. Ifa advises you to
offer ebo with one matured he-goat, three bottles of palm-oil, one
black giant pot and money. On this Ifa says:

4. Ifa says that you shall be blessed with a property of your own. Ifa
says that it is when you have your own property that all the Ire of life
which you are looking for shall come to you. Not only this, Ifa
assures you that you will also be blessed with peace of mind, comfort
and tranquility. Consequent upon this, it is in your best interest to
strive very hard in order to acquire your own personal property before
any other thing. Ifa advises you to offer ebo with four pigeons, four
guinea-fowl and money. You also need to feed Ifa with 16 rats and 16
fish. On this, Ifa says:

5. Ifa says that there is the need for you to take caution and avoid any
form of self deceit. This is because nothing good will ever come out
of it for you. Ifa says that if you are facing any problem that is difficult
for you to resolve amicably it is simply because you are engaging
yourself in self deceit. Ifa says that if this problem begins no
medicine or special device can solve it. You still need to offer ebo
and desist from deceiving yourself. Ifa advises you to offer ebo with
16 rats, 16 fish, 16 hens, 16 she-goat and money. You need to offer
these items one each per day for 16 days. All this items are to be
used to appeal to Ifa for forgiveness. That is when the problem will

6. Ifa says that you will be blessed with children. Ifa assures you that If
and Osun will bless you with many children. Ifa advises you to offer
ebo with two she-goats and money. You also need to feed Ifa with 8
rats, 8 fish and 8 snails. After this, you need to feed Osun as
appropriate. On this, Ifa says:

Tii saya Agbonniregun
O feyinti moju ekun sunrahun tomo
Ebo ni won ni ko waa se

7. Ifa says that you will be victorious over your enemies. Sango will
ensure that you overcome all your enemies in life. When you are
coming from heaven, Sango had assured you that he will stand by
you and assist you in overcoming all your enemies. Ifa advises you
to offer ebo with four tortoises, four rooster, four guinea-fowls and
money. You also need to feed Sango with one rooster, one tortoise,
and 200 pebbles. On this, Ifa says:

Dia fun Olukoso lalu
Jenrola omo arigba ota werewere segun
Igbati nbe laarin ota

Ifa’s message for Olukoso lalu (Sango)
Jenrola who has 200 pebbles to overcome uprisings
When he was in the midst of suffering

When he was leaving everyday in anticipation of uprising
He was advised to offer ebo
He complied
Now who is talking evil of the Oba
Alas! I speak no evil of you Alado

8. Ifa advises you to offer ebo against ailments. Ifa says that any of
your dresses that look like a cobra skin must be removed and offered
as ebo. Those dresses must be gathered and dropped on Esu. Ifa
advises you to offer ebo with two roosters, two hens and money. On
this, Ifa says:

9. Ifa assures you that you will be blessed with prosperity and honour,
compartible spouse, great children, free gifts and all the good things
of life. Ifa says that you have the blood of honour and prosperity
flowing in your veins. Ifa advise you to offer ebo with two hens, two
pigeons, two guinea-fowls, two roosters, two duck and money. You
also need to feed Ifa with four rats and four fish. On this, Ifa says:

10. Ifasays that your financial success shall know no bound. Every part
of your body shall bring you money. Ifa advises you to offer ebo with

My body is covered with Okun beads
It’s in my body that money grows

11. Ifa advises you to go and make a special preparation to wash your
Ori with 200 Akisan leaves and soap. The leaves will be squeeze in
water and be used to wash your Ori. Ifa says that doing this will bring
boundless prosperity for you. Before this however, there is the need
for you to offer ebo with 8 pigeons and money. On this, Ifa says

12. Ifaadvises you to offer ebo against unconsummated fortunes. This is


important for you to do in order to avoid a situation where your worth
will be reducing annually. Ifa also advises you to offer ebo so that
you will not be falling ill on an annual basis. The ebo materials are

13. Ifa assures that your life will be interesting and agreeable. You will
have cause to celebrate your good fortune in life. You will not toll
excessively before you will receive the blessing of financial success
in life. It is all part of your destiny. Ifa assures you that nothing and
nobody can stop you from fulfilling your destiny. Ifa advises you to
offer ebo with four pigeons, four guinea-fowls and money. You also
need to feed your Ori with a giant cat fish and feed Obatala with Eku.
The same Eku will also be used to feed Aje. On this, Ifa says:

14. Ifa

15. Ifa
warns that you must never engage in animal rearing in your life.
This is because doing so may make it difficult for you to have your
own baby in life. Ifa however says that if you are already engaged in

16. Ifasays that there is a serious matter of sadness and agitation that
will occur at a period in your life. Consequent upon this, you need to
offer ebo to ensure that the problem disappears from your life. Ifa
advises you to offer ebo with three hens and money. You also needs
to feed Ifa with one hen and feed your Ori with another hen. Ifa says
that you must pluck the feathers of the hens all by yourself without
allowing anyone to assist you and you must not use any water to
pluck the feathers. On this, Ifa says:

Let us sweep the house to the next house

And sweep the main road to the next main road

Who will become the husband of Ibanuje, Agony
