Excavation is done by the laborer for foundation construction. The workers make sure
that the excavated earth must store away from the edge of the trench (Figure 12). The
laborer used steel cutting machine to cut the steel bars according to its required length

On this day, we began our training in our new site which is the Construction of
College of Engineering Workshop and Micro-hydro Laboratory. The project is also being
handled by the CLSU Inspectorate Team, the team that also handled us.

After the pouring and hardening of the concrete in footing they began to lay
rebars for the wall footing since they finished working on the column footing (Figure

finishing the column footing, the laborers proceed to lay the reinforcement for wall

The laborers are working and coordinating together in order to erect it perfectly
because this is a very sensitive work in the site that requires no failure. It must follow
required size in plans for quality work and to make sure it will not failed (Figure 31).

On our fifth week in training, the laborers continued to excavate trenches for wall
footing construction. Make sure that the excavated earth must store away from the edge
of the trench (Figure 39). After laying of CHB under the tie beam, the laborers proceeded
to lay the reinforcement for tie beam on other parts of the structure (Figure 40). The
progresses in site are now visible because of the continuous activity going in the
construction site.
One of the progresses in site is the installation of wooden formworks for tie beam
was done by the laborer after laying of CHB and reinforcement of the tie beams. They’ve

excavated earth must store away from the edge of the trench (Figure 43).
The installation of wooden formworks for tie beam continues until all the
formworks are installed in the tie beam that will be molded (Figure 44). The wooden
scaffolds started to erect for the continuation of concrete mix pouring in the column

To continue our training, we can now tell that just being on the site will gave you
learning that can’t be taught in four corners of the room. Observed work on this day, the
laborers fabricated the formworks for the column that will be installed before concrete

The laborers are working and coordinating together in order to install the truss

did not use any equipment in lifting the trusses which is heavy for man to lift but they
lifted it anyway. It is not advisable for any construction site to do (Figure 81). The
