Who created the Internet?

The internet and its protocols was co-created by Vinton
Cerf and Robert Kahn. IP Addresses were also made
(specifically IPv4) by Vinton and Robert, but IPv6 is
currently being implemented to allow more devices to
have IP Addresses. He also made the TCP, which allows
computers and devices to connect and exhange data with
eachother.

WHO OWNS THE

INTERNET?
The internet is owned by no one and everyone

at the same time! This can lead to problems

because people can scam others. That's why it

is important to check for Digital Certificates!

Another way to stay safe is to go to

HTTP/HTTPS sites, as well as to use SSL or TLS

Protections. Besides that, the IETF controls the

internet in a sense, deciding when to new THE

features to the internet.

The internet contains many
servers, all having links with DNSs
and having unique Domain Names

DNSs, though, are susceptible to
DNS Spoofing (which is not too
common). Websites work off of
H T M L, o r H y p e r T e x t M a r k u p
Language, which is a "form" of
coding. This allows for features
like cookies to make logins easier!

What type of data does the Internet

Use?

The internet runs on ones and zeros, ons and offs,

and this is called binary.That binary makes bits of
information, which go into packets and travel
through the internet! The information first goes
through a modem to turn into packets, then they get
routed via routers/switches to get to the desired
destination. All this occurs because a Get or Post
Request was made.

(MEASURED IN BIT RATES) WHICH LEADS
TO LATENCY.

WHAT IS LAN AND WAN?

LAN is a local network for an office or a school.
WAN is a network for a large area, like a regional
network. Many people have Wi-Fi
Routers (provided by Internet Service Providers)
to get internet to their home, which is a Local
Network.
