1 Notify in writing to TNB/SESCO/SESB annual PPM is being carried out. (if necessary).

Announcement / notice has been made to all departments 72 hours before planned
2
shutdown (if necessary).
Ensure all the tools required such as danger signage, emergency lamp, testing and
3 procedure tools, first aid kit, safety chart, rubber mat and working procedure are well

9 Observe and listen to the unit on normal operation.

10 Check & record instrument / gauge/ dial readings and indicators.

B Performance (Qualitative) Checklist:

Cable from 11kV Transformer to Vacuum Circuit Breaker Switchgear (High

B1
Voltage Underground Cable)

Inspect and verify the condition of cables for burn marks, insulation leakage and other
1
abnormal conditions.

3 Verify and retighten all screws, contactors, termination etc.

4 Ensure the end of cables termination are sealed properly.

Checking the integrity and condition of ground connections, cable joints and splices,
5
and correcting any issues

Clearing dust, debris and other contaminant deposits from termination joint outer
6
surfaces.

Conducting contact resistance tests on terminations, insulation resistance tests

7 between ground connections and conductors, to assess damage or wear (Please attach
the test result together with this checklist).
Testing for defective electrical contacts and joints with infrared thermal scanning. Joints
8 that register temperature rise need to be cleaned and re-torqued before re-testing
(Please attach the test result together with this checklist).
Condition-Based Maintenance-checks underground power transmission cables and
above-ground grid fixtures (like joints and terminations) that have already experienced
9
partial damage. It helps to predict when and what kind of repairs might be needed in the
future, or if faulty sections need immediate replacement.
