If the nurses want to stay-out after the first contract of 2 years or if the nursing home requires the nurses to stay-out before 2 years, staying-out allowance of S$500 will be provided to them by the nursing home. The probation period is 6 months. Notice period by either party for normal resignation/termination: 2 month notice or compensation in lieu of notice throughout the entire contract period. There may be different terms for dismissals. For exact details, refer to the employment contract. 10.During probation, there isa competency assessment covering 25 items/procedures and must be completed by end of 5" month. Study materials and guidance are provided. The nurses are allowed to attempt up to 3 tries for each competency. 11. Duties and responsibilities of Nursing Aides: Nursing Aide needs to provide support and assistance to nursing staff in the delivery of resident care in the Nursing Home. This involves and includes assisting in the maintenance of a clean, orderly and safe environment, and to perform resident care functions under the supervision and direction of Enrolled Nurse and Staff Nurse. Also, any other resident care duties delegated by the Director of Nursing in line with the needs of Lions Home for the Elders. ‘Some of the examples of duties and responsibilities are: 1. Patient Safety 2. Nursing procedures such as nebulization, NGT feeding and taking of vital signs 3. Assist the residents in activities of daily living(ADL), e.g. bathing, feeding, personal hygiene, toileting, wearing/changing of cloths, etc. Oral Care Changing of diaper Bed making Transferring patients between bed and wheelchair Periodic housekeeping of dormitory, living and dining area exyows 12. The nursing home does not make any guarantee that you will be allowed to take SNB EN or RN Licensure Exam within any specific time frame.
