Reflective essay importance of effective communication

Reflection 600

1. Report: Reflecting on this essay and the video recorded, communication was crucial

for the competition of this assessment. For example, when I recorded the video I have

to encode the message in such a way the audience could understand and therefore

decode what I wanted to inform. Patterns of communication were implemented as

this enables me to provide and effective video. Clarity and fluency of the message

were necessary to apply so it was also incorporate because, without clarity, the

message could be distorted and so it can lead to wrong interpretation or even false

information.

2. Relate: The most challenging difference of communication in recording the video

was the nonverbal aspect and timing. To best explain, the space between the distance

of words and my voice was changed from intonation and sound. Also, because it was

just a video for being recorded instead of being filmed nonverbal communication was

not added enough. Messages could differ meaning as there is not observable body

language or use of others expression and symbols. So the message was reduced to

just the understanding of what the audience hears. Also, the timing was a challenge

as I used to extend my information a lot. However at the end my information related

to I wanted to communicate, the audio was effectively shared in the respective time

given.

3. Reasoning:

Importance of communication in organizations

As we see today, effective communication is crucial to all communities and organizations so much

that none one could live without it. As (book management mcshare, okekalns 2016, p.289) states that

those who communicate are able to work independently. It also states that accurate and timely

communication allows any individual work effectively with others or even by themselves. In other

words, when patterns of properly communication are applied, communication well informed may

enable individuals to understand and comprehend anything that is required.

Therefore to have and effective communication it is important to know that in a simple

communication model, there is a sender and a receiver. The receiver hears the words and

decodes the message. Give meaning to the words. The sender encodes a message with words.

The receiver of a message communicates through nonverbal communication such as eye

contact, facial expressions, nodding, etc.
