A form of transport you enjoy using:

Well! I love to travel and explore different cities and places in the country. Most of the time,
I board train to go around especially if I am visiting country side or other city. Travelling on
train gives so much joy and liveliness which one cannot find in airplanes where you have
nothing to see around during the journey. There is the joy of seeing new scenery unfolds as
the train passes through towns, cities, countryside. Even if the route is familiar, it will always
look different on any day depending on the time of year, the weather, the time of day. You
get little snapshots of other people’s lives as you can see into their back gardens, watch
them walking through the countryside. You feel alive and excited while going in the train. A
lot of memories you bring back home when you travel by train. Talking of memory, I
remember a train journey which I had during my college days along with my friends few
years back. It was memorable journey of 3 hours during which we enjoyed stunning sight
scenes and serene weather. I would never forget that ride. Thus, I prefer to take train for
travelling.

Describe a movie based on real person or event:

Well! I have to say that I love watching movies of different genre especially movies based on
real events or persons; however there are quit few to choose from. Today, I am going to talk
about a movie which depicts the story of an Indian athlete whose is renowned for his game
in most parts of the world. His name is Milkha Singh and movie was named as “Bhaag
Milkha Bhaag”. This is sensational movie based on most facts and least fictions. This movie
tells about life of person who afforded to come 4th in the Olympic Games at the time when
India was not at all into sports. Therefore, it was a big thing not only because he was one of
first Indians to make it to world-level sports competition but also the way he struggled to
achieve that success can bring tears to anyone’s life. It is heart-wrecking to know how a
thirteen year boy who witnessed a bloodshed of India-Pakistan partition and lost his family
in it yet survived and became a star. It is beautifully portrayed in a movie that how a tragedy
changes his life and made him work hard to achieve something in life. It is so inspirational to
watch that whenever I feel low in life I like to watch this movie for sure.

Describe a special family photo:

Like many other families in my country, I have a huge photograph of my family which is
hung on the wall of my living room. It is the first thing that one would notice walking into
the room.
This particular photo was taken a year ago on the occasion of my cousin’s wedding. It was
the first time for ages that my whole family had gathered together. Even my relatives who
are living further away came home to attend the wedding. It was possibly the first picture of
my extended family with my grandmother, all of my grandmother’s children and the in-laws,
and I have lost count of how many grandchildren are in it. There are almost 4 generations
you would see in the photo. It’s a brilliant photo, with everyone smiling and laughing, taken
by a professional photographer who put everyone at their ease. As a typical traditional
person, I treasure my family. Our ties are worth more than gold. No matter what happens, I
strongly believe that my parents, my siblings and relatives will always be on my side
supporting me. Every time I look at the photograph of my loving family, I feel blessed and
proud.
Describe a leader you admire:
As a nation, we are proud to have many legendary and visionary leaders who had shaped
our fortune and devoted their lives and time to build the country. Among those impressive
leaders and politicians, I would pick (...say a famous leader's name...) as my most favourite
leader whom I really admire and respect. He is such a popular and beloved leader that I
have found that most of the people like and admire him. He possesses a very high political
position with really immense power and yet he has chosen to lead such an ordinary and
poor life that it is possible only by a dedicated, honest, good hearted and completely honest
leader. While he could have made a great fortune and could have exercised his power like
many other politicians and leaders, he has chosen the honesty, integrity, responsibility and
truth as his virtues.
The most appealing part about him is his honesty and fierceness for the truth and just. He
does not fear anyone as long as it is to establish the just and right. Because of his invaluable
contribution and dedication, many positive changes have been made in our country. I, like
many others, like him because of his honesty, truthfulness, and fight for justice, dedication,
patriotism, and benevolent attitude to the poor people. He is a rare politician in this era of
corruption and selfishness. The world needs more leaders like him to make it a better place.
I am sure with his contribution our nation will progress further. The vision and leadership
quality of this politician would inspire the young party members to contribute towards the
betterment of the nation.
Describe your favourite actor:
India is known for star studded film industry called Bollywood. Although, there are various
talented actors excelling in action, romantic or drama movies, Akshay Kumar has a special
place in comedy roles. He has been in the industry for almost three decades doing all kinds
of roles, but since last 10 years he has made a name for himself in the comedy circle. I
became his diehard fan after watching the movie “Singh is king.” It is one of those movies
which can be seen again and again without getting bored. Apart from having an excellent
sense of humour, he is a complete disciplinarian as far as his lifestyle and physical fitness is
concerned. Millions of young men and women have gained inspiration from his strict
exercise regime and teetotaller habits. He has a huge fan following because of his
contributions to charity of soldiers of my country. Being a black belt in martial arts, he does
all his action stunts on his own which has made him a youth icon. It won’t be wrong to say
that he’s a multitalented personality and his movies are a complete entertainment package.
Describe one of your best friends:
When іt соmеѕ to making friends, I am little bit shy and introvert But I have few special
friends in my life. Today I’d lіkе tо talk аbоut Jess. She іѕ one my bеѕt friends. Wе аrе thе

Describe your favourite weather:

Weather is a short term atmospheric condition. It keeps changing every now and then. We
enjoy many types of weather in India. We have the hot weather in summers and cool weather
in winters. The weather in spring and autumn is generally pleasant. The weather I am going
to talk about here is the pleasant weather we have during the spring, that is March and
beginning of April. This is a very welcome weather because it brings great relief from the
intense cold of winters. The flowers are in full bloom everywhere, and you can hear the happy
chirping of the birds. Spring season gives you a reason to smile. It infuses colour in your life.
The spring season is important for farmers. Crops ripen in the fields. Farmers store wheat and
barley at home. Everybody feels a sense of joy and happiness. Besides, spring is a season of
festivals of Hindus. Holi is a festival of eating and drinking. I enjoy it the most. Holi adds to the
glory of the spring season. Days and nights are neither too long nor too short. I hate the cold
wind of winter. I do not like the hot sun. I dislike mud and dirt caused by the rains. So spring
is my favourite season, and its weather is my favourite weather.

Describe your favourite meal:

Talking about food, I love trying different kinds of cuisine in general. If I have to tell about
favourite meal, undoubtedly, that would be breakfast. Well, as I work at night, my day starts
at 1PM which kicks off with fasted training. Usually I come back in one hour from training
and followed by shower, I prepare my favourite meal of the day which sometimes includes
cereals, protein shakes, steamed vegetables while other times involves eggs, French toast,
pancakes and tea. I eat variety of items every morning to make sure I am having nutritious
and balanced diet. Mostly I eat English breakfasts however, I enjoy to have typical Indian
breakfast in which stuffed wholemeal chapatti is served with butter and tea. It is delicious,
filling and healthy if cooked in particular way. I believe in philosophy that breakfast must be
eaten like kings. Having large breakfast would give lot of energy for the whole day. When I
was in India, my mother used to do cooking and made me variety of food stuff every
morning.
Describe a leisure activity on or near the sea you would like to try:
I would like to talk about one of my favourite activities on the beach, swimming. You know, I
live in Goa, a coastal city with golden beaches and the nearest seashore is just fifteen
minutes from my house. So, in the summer, my friends and I often go there and swim in the
cool water to avoid the hot weather. Actually, swimming is a relatively easy sport. I learned
how to swim when I was about 8 years old and it took me only a week to get familiar with a
number of swimming strokes, like breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly. Before entering
the water, I often warm up and stretch my muscles and joints to avoid any injuries, then put
on my swimsuit and jump right in. I really enjoy swimming on the beach because of a few
reasons. Firstly, unlike other water sports such as diving or windsurfing, which require
costly equipment, swimming costs nothing. Secondly, swimming is extremely beneficial to
our health. It provides an all-over body workout, as nearly all of our muscles are used during
swimming. It also builds endurance, muscle strength and cardiovascular fitness. Lastly,
going swimming is a good means of recreation as it allows me to unwind, alleviate stress
and have a great time with my friends.
Summer is coming so I’ll definitely make a plan to visit the beach soon. I intend to go to gold
coast beach as it’s considered as one of the most magnificent beaches in the nearby place.

Describe a beautiful apartment or house you visited:

Mr. Gautam is my maternal uncle and works as a senior naval officer in the
Indian Navy. He is a bit luxurious in nature and loves to live in a beautiful
space. So, he has made the house with great care. The house is a one-storied
building covering a large space. There is a large garden in front of the house
with different attractive flower and fruit plants. Some of the plants are
unavailable in the country. The small swimming pool has raised the beauty of
the house. It also has a spacious roof and my uncle has separated the roof into
two parts. He has his study in one part and the other part is gardened with
flower plants he brought from different countries during his travel. The house
has a grand look and my uncle is also proud of it. The inside of the house is
beautifully decorated. The house has many rooms including three large
bedrooms with some other smaller rooms to be used for several other
purposes. The living space is extra-large. Most of the furniture is made with the
finest woods and proudly shows the choice of the house owner. There is an
unusually large mirror in the living room and portrays the shadow of the
visitors which is amazing, while the ceiling is decorated with a chandelier. The
master bedroom is stunningly decorated with precious furniture and
amenities. There is a king-size bed in the master bedroom with some essential
furniture. The most important thing about the house is that it is centrally air-
conditioned which has made living inside the house comfortable. Moreover,
the electronic entrance is another important feature of the house. Whenever
any vehicle tries to enter through the gate, the guard opens the gate
electronically. Besides, the modern security system has made the entire house
safe.
Describe an important traditional event in your country:
Independence Day is a very special day for all Indians and we observe it with great
fervour and enthusiasm. This day is celebrated on 15th August each year, as a
national holiday, commemorating our independence from the United Kingdom on 15
August 1947. I am grateful to you for giving me the chance to talk about this
significant national day in our history. Independence Day is observed in every state
in India and twenty-one gunshots are fired in honour of the solemn occasion. The
incumbent Prime Minister customarily raises the national flag and gives an address
to the nation. Independence Day is observed throughout the country with flag-
hoisting ceremonies, parades, and numerous cultural events. We show our love for
our motherland in every way possible on that day. Besides, flag hoisting ceremonies
and cultural programmes take place in governmental and non-governmental
institutions throughout the country. Many citizens adorn their clothing, wristbands,
household accessories and cars with replicas of the tri-colour of our national flag.
Historically, this is the most important day for us. India, as a nation, won its
independence following the Independence Movement in 1947 and the birth of our
nation was perhaps the most significant event in our history. On 15 August 1947,
Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, raised the Indian national flag
above the Lahori Gate of the Red Fort in Delhi and the history took a new road on
that special day.

As an Indian, I celebrate it by raising our national flag in our house and then attend
the national parade in the early morning. I often take my siblings to our college's
cultural programmes that highlight the significance of this day and the sacrifices we
made as a nation to achieve our independence. I feel proud to be an Indian and this
is the best day to live as an Indian.

Describe a person whom you enjoy talking to:

I'm going to talk about my father because he has been a major influence in my life.
My father was always a good role model for me as I was growing up. He's hard-working,
patient and understanding; he's also got a good sense of humour and seems to get on well
with everybody. Hopefully I've inherited some of these traits.
I admire my father because I think he brought me and my brothers/sisters up well; he was
quite strict but always fair, and he has always been someone I can turn to for advice. I think
my father set a good example by working hard and having a positive outlook on life. I
remember that he used to leave for work early and come home quite late, but he
always made time for me and my brothers/sisters

Describe your favourite season or time of the year:

Today, I am going to tell you about my favourite season. Honestly, I love all the seasons but I
think my favourite is spring. Usually, it starts at the end of September in our country and
lasts till the middle of November.
The weather in Auckland is the best during spring because you will not suffer
from the excessive heat of summer or the freezing wind of winter. The temperature
is tolerable both day and night. One of the best things about spring is that, during this poetic
season, nature displays itself in beautiful green and flowers are noticed everywhere. Fruit
trees, such as cherry and apricot trees are in full blossom, and colourful flowers such as
daffodils and marigolds bloom in parks and gardens. The sounds of spring are wonderful
too. A typical spring day will begin when some birds start their morning chorus as they look
for a mate.
I am of the opinion that different kinds of weather can affect people’s health. Even among
those in the prime of health, an excessively hot or cold day can lead to illness or injury, let
alone the elderly, who can be more susceptible to extreme weather conditions. Weather
can also make a huge impact on people’s lives. Obviously, the weather dictates what you
are going to wear for the day, often depending on the time of year. Also, winter snow
storms in Western countries can cancel school or make your morning commute a hassle.

Describe your favourite time of the day:

The early morning is somewhat different than the other parts of the day. It is quiet,
refreshing and allows me to plan for the remaining day. The night-sleep revives me in the
morning and I find it very pleasant to start doing something challenging. This is the ideal
time to exercise, eat a nice and light meal, think about important issues, and plan for the
whole day.
For me, early morning is the most important and pleasant part as I can enjoy it in complete
peace and serenity. The tranquillity of the surroundings, soothing temperature, refreshing
shower, and the promise of starting a great day make it worth enjoying. It is said that the
morning shows the day and I totally agree with this adage. If I can keep away my tensions
and start the morning the way I expect it to be, the whole day becomes fruitful and
enjoyable. On top of that, I can recall several occasions in the early morning when I had
been able to solve many complex problems. For instance, on one occasion I tried to solve an
algorithm for a couple of days but the solution popped up in my mind in one morning, when
I was having my tea. This is probably because I am a regular early riser and my mind remains
spanking new at that time. I would like to say that early rising is also advantageous for our
physical and mental health. I can make important decisions mostly in the morning as I can
think logically at a quiet time. I guess this tells pretty much everything I like about this part
of the day.

Describe something you do to relax:

Listening to my favourite music is very relaxing to me and I feel refreshed and

energetic with this activity. This is one of the most effective ways to relax both
mentally and physically and for me, it has been proven to be a very effective way of
relaxation.

If I am at home, I listen to music either on my computer or in my music player. I listen

to music when I work or even when I take a nap. Sitting on the balcony and listening
to soft music is an out-of-the-world experience that I often enjoy. When I am at work,
I use my iPod to listen to my favourite songs. Even in the public transportation,
listening to music is relaxing.

I listen to music mostly alone but sometimes I listen to it with friends who have
similar taste in music. For that, I use the speaker instead of the headphone.
Sometimes my niece comes to my room to listen to her favourite music and I play
her favourite music on my laptop. So in a sense, I often do that with her as well. But
most of the time I enjoy music alone.

A time when you lost something:

Life has all sorts of surprises for us which we keep getting from time to time.
We find some of them overwhelming while some others make us sad and
distressed. Today, I’ll like to talk about a mobile phone which I lost. I still
remember that evening very well although it happened around ten years back.
I had gone to a local market that day to get some stationary for my upcoming
exams. I stood on the counter and told the salesman to show me some gel
pens and writing boards. I had my phone in my hand as I entered the shop but
kept it on the counter to have a look at the stuff lying in front of me. In the
meantime, a middle aged man also came there and asked for something. Then,
he left in five minutes or so without purchasing anything. I didn’t sense
anything at that time, I bought whatever I needed and paid the shopkeeper his
due amount.
As I was about to leave, I just remembered to pick up my phone. All hell broke
loose when my mobile was nowhere to be found. I searched all over the
counter and even on the floor. The salesman told me that the man who
entered the shop and left abruptly must be the thief. We tried to locate him on
the street but he seemed to have vanished in the by lanes.
I just can’t explain that feeling when I lost something so dear to me. Certainly, I
was shocked beyond words as right in front of my eyes someone took away my
phone while I remained oblivion. Also, I was worried because all my contact
numbers and other important details were in there. Then, I filed and FIR in the
nearest police station and also called up my service provider to lock my SIM
card.
This experience has made me more careful of my belongings and now I try to
keep my phone as securely as possible.

A historical event:
There have been so many events in the past century that shaped our present.
On a worldwide level, the rise of Hitler was the most interesting event I can
think of. He was the one person who single handedly changed the course of
the world history.
After Germany lost World War I and was forced to sign the treaty of Versailles,
there was nothing much left with Germany. But, under the leadership of Hitler,
it rose again and fought back. People followed him even in acts that were cruel
and it takes great leadership skills to do that.
May be there won’t have been any Second World War, if it was not for Hitler.
Countries like Russia and USA rose to power only when they won the Second
World War. Before that it was only Britain ruling the world.
The one thing that I really find captivating here is that one man, not even an
army, one dictator could go against the entire world and shake them from
their roots. Sometimes I wonder if only he was a positive leader, the world
could have been a better place to live in.
An unforgettable trip you have taken:
Well, it has been two years since I had my very first motorbike trip with my
colleagues to one of the most ancient villages situated in the North-western part of
our country. And I have to say that it is the most memorable trip that I’ve ever had.

Our group with 3 people made a decision to visit the village because we wanted
to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and get off the beaten
track. Moreover, the village is fairly typical of the countryside in our country so
we wanted to get an insight into the lifestyle of local people there.

We set out for a day trip quite early. I’m always a night owl, not an early bird, so
leaving the city at 5 am made me feel like I was deprived of sleep. However, I
was over the moon shortly after embarking on the trip to the village. This was
because on the way to get there, we had chance to get the magnificent views of
breath-taking landscapes which is totally different from the city we are currently
living in. After a long drive, we got to the picturesque village which made me
feel deliriously happy. We rented some bikes to cycle around the village to feel
the vibes of the village. After that, we visited some 400 year old ancient house and
had a look at communal houses where the local people gathered for festival
celebration or public meeting. Then we had lunch with many scrumptious food. In
the afternoon, we joined a cooking class with the villagers who were extremely
friendly and clever at making traditional cakes. The highlight of the trip to the
village was going to the paddy fields to help the farmers harvest the crop. It was such
an once-in-a-lifetime experience which we really enjoyed. My friend was like a
dog with two tails while I were also on cloud nine. We relished everything in the
village from the fresh air, cosy ambiance to beautiful landscapes such as small
houses or paddy fields. We very much hope that we can have a longer trip to the
countryside down the road if we have more spare time.

A gift you received recently:

Over the years I have received many gifts on different occasions from many people. These
consist of a variety of enticing presents that have touched my heart. Ranging from simple
stationary and decoration trinkets to books and gadgets. It is a quite common phenomenon
and I feel immensely happy to receive such thoughtful gifts.
As per my thought, the best present that I have ever got was a mobile phone. During my
first year of college, I came to know about this smartphone that was just launched on the
market. The phone had a lot of modern and rare features such as two cameras, increased
memory, more speakers, and a large touchscreen amongst others. Made of tough materials
the phone was durable and value for money. It was comparatively cheaper than the luxury
smartphones available back then along with some class leading features.
On my birthday that year, my uncle visited me in college and spent some time with me.
While leaving, he gave me a gift box and I instantly opened it. I was surprised to see the
same phone lying in the box. I was delighted upon receiving this phone as a gift as my
current phone was broken and I desperately needed a new one. It was the most thoughtful
gift in my view as my uncle had put a lot of thought and effort into it. I was very happy and I
hugged my uncle while thanking him profusely.
An advertisement that you think was successful:

Advertisements have always grabbed my attention, be it the ones that came on

television or the newer age one’s coming in YouTube. Most of the advertisements in
present time revolve around a story and have a call to action. One such commercial
was of Smarak Ata. I can recollect clicking on the link randomly on YouTube.
It began with a background of office, where three people made fun of their colleague
for his poor accent and move on towards college where a person breaks the line.
The one standing behind was from North Eastern states of our country. Sadly, but
there are some stereotypes that people have for them. On breaking the line, the
person brings food for him. The next story is that of a police officer who is busy and
his juniors’ eye on him. He simply goes up to them and shares their food. It brings
smiles to everyone’s faces and they feel a connection. The ad moves on how a
mother shares the food for her child with a poor person. Towards the end, the people
making fun of the person with a poor accent, share his food.
The commercial went viral when it came and was released in the mass media of
internet. It had a simple and a beautiful message for all of us, that sharing is indeed
caring. And we do not need to take big steps to finally make changes and make this
world a beautiful place. It is all about sharing and the small acts of kindness and
courtesy and love that we do that make difference.
The reason I believe it is memorable is that it pans across all generations, almost
everyone can connect with it. It seems to be one of those advertisements which
when people will see even after 100 years, would be able to connect with.
A useful website you have visited:

I have been using internet for now about 6 years, out of which I think 3 years I have
used it extensively, visiting lot of websites and doing research and lots of fun work.
There have been many sites which I love to visit, but I think the one that I go back to
when I am not able to find anything else, is youtube.com. I believe it is one of the
most amazing sites to be made in the history, because there are so many
opportunities over there. You can learn lot of things from the website and then you
can earn lot of money from it.
A website I love to visit is YouTube. Well, most people know about this one since
it's one of the most visited sites in the world. I visit it every day and it's so addictive
that I can spend hours on it.

YouTube is basically designed for video sharing and it makes viewing and
uploading videos quite easy. What I like about YouTube is that I can find and play
different types of video content - anything from TV series, DYI (Do it yourself videos),
vlogs, and so on. A vlog is basically a video blog.

Personally, I cannot afford to go on holiday or travel abroad, so for me travel

vlogs are a good way to find out about places around the world and what life there is
like. Every time I watch this type of video, it feels like I'm visiting the place with the
vlogger because they share their experience with their audience.

I can subscribe to channels I'm interested in and be notified whenever there is a

new video. Also, I can show my appreciation for the content by clicking the 'like'
button below the video. I think that's a great way to show that you fully
appreciate someone's efforts to record and share videos on a platform like
YouTube.

As for why I like it, I think it's an amazing way to explore the world through videos
as well as keep myself up to date with anything educational and interesting.

A type of music that you like:

Music and songs are more than a means of entertainment to me. It is just
like a food for my mind and soul. I listened thousands of songs. And this
process of listening to the songs will keep on going till I live. I listen to
every genre of songs such as romantic, patriotic, sad or emotional. I like
romantic songs more. But my favourite song does not belong to this
genre. Many songs are near to my heart. Hence, it is not easy to select
one. However, one song which I really admire is the song from movie
‘tare zamee par’ which means “Stars on the earth” It is an Indian movie.
The words of the song go like this: “Tujhe sab he pata he Na ma” which
means “you know everything mom. “It can be considered as a sad song.
However, it is actually a feeling of a child toward his mother. I first heard
it when I went to see that movie.
And you won’t believe, I had literally started crying when this song came.
There are plenty of reasons why I like this song. It is filled with utter
emotion of a son to his mother. The boy was not ready to go to a hostel
but father was adamant enough to send him to it.
When they left the place the boy felt so lonely.
He wanted to tell her mother how much he loved and cared for her. On
this situation the song was pictured.
It is beautifully written by the elite Indian lyrist Prasun Joshi.
Any person who loves his or her mother will definitely cry after watching
this song.

A vehicle you would like to buy: Talk about tesla

One vehicle I’d like to buy is a Porsche 911 (nine eleven). I think it’s one of the most famous
cars – it’s a modern classic, with a lot of history. It’s a two-door sports coupe made
by Porsche AG of Stuttgart in Germany. It has a very distinctive design, which hasn’t
changed much over the years since it was first introduced back in 1963.

I like this particular car because of its classic design – it looks like I think a car should look,
and obviously its performance – it’s so fast. It’s not at all practical if you have a family or
things like that, but it’s great fun to drive – a really thrilling experience. I tried one a few
years ago at a promotional racing event and it was a truly amazing ride; something that I’ll
never forget.

Maybe in the future if everything goes well I’ll treat myself and buy one – in silver. I think it’s
a good colour for a Porsche, kind of classy and sophisticated without being pretentious. It’s
something I’d like to do within the next 5 years or so – and then take it touring in maybe
France or Italy. I really love driving and cars have always been a passion of mine, so it’d be
the perfect way to spend a couple of weeks – travelling around, visiting some interesting
places, while enjoying the car too.

Like I said before it’s maybe not the most economical car, or practical for everyday use, but I
guess I’d probably use it as often as I could – when it’s convenient. It’s too much fun to keep
it stored in the garage all the time – it’s a bit like good food – it has to be used to be enjoyed
and appreciated.

An electronic item that you have bought apart from computer:

Due to the advancement of technology, prevalence of electronic

equipment has heightened beyond anyone’s imagination. We are
surrounded by abundant Electronic equipment and gadgets. No one can
deny the significance of these equipment in our life. One such equipment
which I find handy is a vacuum cleaner. Before buying the vacuum
cleaner, we used to sweep and clean our home with broomsticks. It is
obvious that as we grow older plenty of health challenges knock at our
door. We never thought of buying it until we have found that my mother
has a serious problem of arthritis. We bought it to give my mom some
comfort in cleaning the home. My mother is suffering from arthritis and it
is painful for her to get to each and every corner of the house and clean
it. The day we bought vacuum cleaner. Everything has changed. There
are numerous benefits which can be enlisted. In the first place, it is so
easy and convenient to work with it. Sometime we thought we have
wasted so much time with broomsticks. The use of it is very easy. My
mom can do the cleaning very comfortably and easily. Even when no one
is at home I also try my hands on it. Secondly, it is great for the people
who are allergic to dust because at the time of using, it protects dust from
spreading over. I found this instrument so handy that I frequently started
telling people to buy one for them. Really it is a boon for us. Million
thanks to the inventor of this wonderful creation.
Something you bought that you were not satisfied with:
It would be probably 1 year or so when I bought a cell phone and went through a
horrible experience. I bought Nokia C5 cell phone from a Nokia shop of the city
shopping mall. I saved the amount to purchase a cell phone over 6 months that
would allow me to use the internet and install applications. Due to my budget
deficiency I though Nokia C5 would be a good choice and the salesman also
convinced me to purchase this particular one. I spent almost half an hour for testing
the phone before purchasing it.

I used the cell phone for about a month and I was very happy with its performance. It
was touch phone and mostly operated with the fingertip. All of a sudden one day I
noticed that the touch functionality is not working and hence I am unable to use it
and do anything. I restarted the phone and I found it okay again. But that problem
kept reappearing over and over again and I took the phone to the service centre.
After a week I took back it home and used smoothly for 2 weeks or so and sadly the
problem reappeared. That was a very frustrating experience and I explained my
daunting experience to the customer care officer and he assured that they would fix
it. But to my surprise, I found the problem again. That day I decided to through it in
the dustbin and bought a new cell phone by a different brand and manufacturer.
Though I have not thrown it away to the dustbin, I placed it in a box with old and
unused materials. I later bought a new cell phone by Sony and found it really cool.

Something expensive you wish to buy when you have enough money: same as above

A town or city you have visited as a tourist:

I am an avid traveller and have visited many cities across India and other countries for work
and leisure purposes. My favourite city out of the ones that I have visited is Sydney. A major
city in Australia, it is the state capital of New South Wales. It is situated on the south-eastern
coast of Australia near the Tasman Sea and is home to around 4.6 million people. I travelled
to this city in 2013 after my high school for a vacation.
This city has many attractions and there are many reasons for my fondness. A veritable
collection of beaches, natural areas, botanic gardens, parks, and high rising buildings add to
its beauty. This city has many heritage buildings and landmarks such as the Sydney Opera
House, Harbour Bridge, and the observatory.
It is known for the dynamic cultural hub and houses many famous museums and art
galleries with great architecture. The weather is pleasant all-round the year, and the views
are beautiful.
The best part is the city planning and public services. I found the transportation services to
be affordable and highly effective. The city is very well planned and it is very easy to
commute or reach different places. People there are friendly and welcoming, and help the
tourists with many things.
The city is lively and vibrant and offers a lot of other things to do apart from sightseeing. In
my limited time there, I tried to visit as many places as possible, and soaked in the beauty of
the marvellous places that I went to. I would visit this city again whenever I get an
opportunity.

A lake, river or sea you have been to:

I'm going to talk about an amazing place in my country called Kashmir. It's a
nature reserve and national park, located in the northern part of Sichuan Province.
It is considered one of the most beautiful parks on Earth. I know that it has been
inscribed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. This place is complete with forest,
waterfalls and lakes. It's made up of three valleys.

Kashmir is the top tourist destination in Northern Province. To visit the park, you
first need to buy a ticket, which is a bit over $30. Well, it's a bit expensive, but I
think it's definitely worth it.

People can walk or take a bus if they don't like walking for hours. There are wooden
walkways that line the path to the lakes and waterfalls. Tourists can get as close to
nature as possible. As you keep walking, you see more and more beautiful lakes
and rivers. Even though the distance seems long, there are many places along the
way where you can rest and take pictures.

I think Kashmir is a natural wonder with beautiful scenery. What's interesting is

that the water falling from a cliff looks just like a curtain, and reflects the light. The
best time to visit the park is in autumn, especially in October, when the forest
is covered with red and golden leaves and the bright colours reflect on the surface
of the lakes.
A place of natural beauty you have visited: Same Answer as above
An old building you have visited:

India has a rich historic background. There are many buildings worth
seeing in my country. Here I’m going to talk about the Taj Mahal. It is in
Agra, on the banks of Yamuna River. It is one of the most flawless
architectural creations of the world. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the
World. In fact it has been ranked as the first of the seven wonders. It is a
magnificent building built of white marble. Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan
got it built in the loving memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz. About
20,000 workers put in their best efforts for 17 long years to complete this
masterpiece. The hands of the master mason were cut off after
completion of the building so that such a building could not be made
again. I first saw it 7 years ago when I went with my school tour. I was
awe-struck to see the picturesque beauty in front of my eyes. The tombs
of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz lie in the basement. I like it because it gives
an identity to India in the world. I am proud to be a part of a country with
such historic background. Tourists from all over the world flock to see this
ultimate memorial of love and
few are unmoved by its incomparable beauty.
Your favourite room in your home:
I’m going to talk to you about my bedroom. It’s probably the favourite room in the house
where I live or at least it’s the place where I spend most of my time. While I say it’s my
bedroom, it’s actually more like a bedsit in that it’s not just a place where I sleep. Because
I’m still studying I also use the room as my study too. It’s not exactly a large room but it’s
spacious enough and there’s room for all my things – books etc.
It’s fairly lightly furnished because I’m living in rented accommodation and the only
furniture there came with the room. There’s a bed and a wardrobe as you would expect but
there’s also a smallish desk in the corner where I have my computer and printer. I spend
quite a lot of time doing my assignments for college there but I also use my bed as a kind of
couch or settee when I just want to read.
I share the house with a number of students and so there isn’t much privacy. It’s nice to
have other people about and I wouldn’t want to live by myself. But there are times when I
want to be in a quiet place and concentrate on my work and that’s when I tend to go up to
my room and study. If I’m in the mood for company I’ll go back downstairs to the communal
living room and watch TV with one of my housemates. There’s almost always someone
around. So I think get the best of both worlds.
Your ideal home:
So I’m going to talk about the perfect house that I would like to live in. I would like it to
be spacious, comfy and tranquil and it should therefore be located in a rural area with a
quiet and peaceful atmosphere.
Painted white and pink, the house would somehow look like a little palace for a royal family.
Natural light is a must for this house, and it must contain an effective window system for
good ventilation. The house would be equipped with modern appliances and air-
conditioning for comfort and convenience. Trees and flowers would be planted around it for
decoration and to make it look beautiful.
My ideal house, which would be full of natural light and surrounded by a lot of beautiful
gardens, would be the perfect place for me when I am in need of relaxation, and an escape
from my heavy workload in the city. I would be able to enjoy the fresh air, and living there
would be the perfect way to relieve stress.
To be honest, having the chance to live in such a house would be a dream come true for me,
feeling like a king in his own castle, and I hope that one day I can actually build a house like
this to live in.

A famous person you would like to meet:

We all idolize lot of different people and the one person that I truly admire is Mahendra
Singh Dhoni. He is the captain of our Indian cricket team and has led us in some of the
toughest situations and made us victorious. It was under his captainship that India won its
first T20 world cup and the world cup in 2011. He is often regarded as the captain cool
because of his unwavering behaviour in spite of any loss or victory.
The reason I want to meet him is because he is the true representation of a common man
with so uncommon dreams. It was his journey that is so inspiring. From having faced issues
that we all face, parental pressure, peer pressure, job insecurity, finding the right path and
then landing into something that is true to his heart.
He has been an inspiration to many people and even after having achieved so much it is
humble nature that charms everyone. The fact that he is close to his family and that he
respects his country the most.
He is one of the most famous cricket captains the history of our cricket has seen. Not only
because of the way he lead the team and made it victorious, but because of how he
changed the environment of the dressing rooms in the cricket grounds. How he taught
people to work together and in many ways the country that no matter how successful you
become in your life, what is most important is that you love and respect the right people in
your life. That you handle criticism and flattery in the same way and do what is important
for you and your country.

One of your neighbours whom you know quite well:

Introduction
I’m currently living in a densely-populated area with a multitude of households. However, if
you ask me to give you an account of a neighbour who intrigues me most, I would not
hesitant to talk about Ben.
Ben has an innate talent for singing and composing. He signed up for a well-known band as
lead vocalist and song composer. He was Born and grown up in Christchurch. However,
embark on his singing career, he moved to live in close proximity to my house 2 year ago. I
got to know him almost 2 years ago when I was Manager and undergo a nerve-racking time
(can’t find work-life balance, no me-time, up to ears with internship assignment, finals) –>
let my hair down ==> went to a coffee shop near ==> met him by chance, singing my
favourite song ==> talked to each other ==> then realised that living in the same
neighbourhood ==> stroke up our friendship.
– It have been over 2 years since we met but we really hit it off.
 Why you like him?
– Outer appearance: well-built person with broad shoulders and wavy hair ==>
handsome and attractive
– Personalities ==> kind (devote time/money/effort to helping the disabled/poor) +
gregarious + humorous (play jokes on my bad side of character, cheer my up) ==> set
a prime example for me
– Identify with me ==> have a lot in common & well-matched in our interests (like
singing, drawing, etc.)
– Knowledgeable

Conclusion:
To be honest, he is adored by all people in the neighbourhood. To me, he is the most
awesome human being on earth. You know, lots of things will change down the road, and
all relationships have their ups and downs, but I have a firm belief that we will not drift
apart from each other and can maintain a good relationship/work at our friendship/cement
our friendship forever.

A child you know:

Well, I have met with a plethora of juveniles who mesmerized me. But here I would like to
talk about a kid named Gurnav, I call him Gunnu. I suggested his name Gurnav to his
parents. Gurnav is my cousin brother. He is 4 years old but he is a very attentive child. I
describe him briefly.
Gurnav is the son of my aunt named Harpreet who is my close friend also. He lives with his
parents in a different city and they visit us almost once time each month. Gurnav is a school-
going kid as well as he attracts everyone with his strange actions. Since his birth, he is a cute
and adorable juvenile. I loved him so much due to my affection for him.
Usually, I go to his house twice a month to meet him. But in every meeting, I think that he
has grown up more. He stayed at my home many times, I told him a number of bedtime
stories. I like to carry him in my arms but he always wants to walk on his feet.
Often, we together go for a walk in the park. He likes to have ice-cream, chocolate, and
chips. I love to play with him. At times, we both together play hide and seek. Moreover, he
is good at studies. He is in a nursery class. His grasping power is very high because he easily
catches every word. In his school, every teacher loves him because of his cuteness.
All in all, Gurnav is smaller than me in age but he attracts me most with his love towards me.
He speaks very sweetly and patiently. Whenever I meet him, he rejuvenates my mind with
happiness. Every time, I feel highly elated after meeting with him.
Describe a famous sports person:
Like majority of my fellow Indians, I love to watch the game of cricket. If I talk of cricket in
my country, Sachin Tendulkar is one name which shines like a precious diamond. He was a
former captain of the Indian national team and is regarded as one of the greatest batsmen
of all times. Tendulkar started playing the game at the age of eleven and made his test
debut against Pakistan at the age of sixteen. He is a record holder by scoring one hundred
double centuries and completing more than 30,000 runs in international cricket. He is
lovingly called the little master or master blaster by his fans. He is also considered as the
god of cricket by his fans and fellow cricketers. The government of India felicitated him with
numerous awards and honours such as Arjuna award, Rajiv Gandhi khel Ratna award,
Padma Shri and Padma Vibhushan. He is also the youngest recipient of the Bharat Ratna, the
highest civilian award. Not only is he a great player but a wonderful human being also. He
always motivates and supports young players of not just cricket but other sports as well. In
the end I’d like to say that we all are extremely proud of Sachin Tendulkar and wish that all
the young players continue to gain inspiration from this great personality.

Your favourite book :

I am a bibliophile and love reading all genre of books. Today I am going to talk about a book
that I loved reading. Although there are many I would like to read again, but I think
Mahatma Gandhi’s autobiography, ‘My Experiments with the Truth’ has by far been the
most impressive book that I have read. I remember I went to get a novel to read and
randomly picked this one because I wanted to read Gandhi’s opinion on the entire freedom
struggle. It was back in 2014, during my last year of college when I read this book.
The book is Gandhi’s autobiography, it includes special highlights on events that had a major
impact on Gandhi’s life story. The book gives an inside view on how Gandhi shaped himself,
what sacrifices he made and how he stood by truth even in the darkest of times.
One such event includes the day Gandhi fell ill, the doctors advised him to take some tea as
it would help him in recovering faster. It was almost essential for him in his medical
condition. But earlier he had pledged that he would not consume meats, spices, eggs or tea,
as at the time some research suggested it to be harmful to the body. No matter what the
doctors had to say, Gandhi did not consume his tea. I was fascinated by the strong
determination the man had.
The story revolves around his life and gives an inner view on the reasons behind the actions
taken by him as a leader. I loved the book because it taught me the most important lesson
of my life: one should always speak the truth and be ready to die for it.
Mahatma Gandhi was surely a man of strong and true character and in my viewpoint,
anyone who reads this novel surely brings home the idea of being a better person.
