Insights in Seminar about Disaster Risk Reduction Management

A seminar-workshop on Disaster Risk Reduction Management was conducted in

Barangay Buhangin, Butuan City on February 16, 2019 with the teachers, the rover
students and citizen in Barangay Buhangin. The seminar aims to enhance the people in
brgy. Buhangin on the basic knowledge on disaster preparedness and to review their
respective disaster plans and the barangay improvement plan in relation to handling
different situations in times of calamities.

People participated during the seminar and able to asked some questions about the
said topic and the speakers explained it well to the people in barangay Buhangin, and there
are some entertainments during the seminar and give them a snack, for them to listen
effectively to the speaker. The seminar-workshop enlightened the participants on the basic
knowledge on how to respond to emergency cases related to disaster. This is of great help
in performing their mission not only to teach or facilitate in the learning process but to
safeguard their families in times of calamities.
