The title pertains to the setting of the event. Along the road was the setting, and it might be the
reason why the title is The Way Home.

2. Why does the film start in the way it does?


Films should start interesting, the movie was presented interesting the way it started. The plot was
being shown in a different way and in a good manner.

3. How does the film relate to the latest issues in our society?

There is chaos and unorganized society we were living with. When a child is missing, the chance
of finding the child might be little.

4. Do different characters use different kinds of languages? Do certain characters speak through their
silence?

Yes, they’ve used different kind of language. Yes, some certain characters speak through their
silence, and it might be because of the happenings with them.

5. What is the music’s purpose in the film? How does it direct our attention within the image? How does
it shape our interpretation of the image?

The purpose of music in the film is to give an emotions and feelings to the viewer with the film.
With the music itself it gives us attention on what genre was the music was. If the music was intense,
calm, delightful, or something that come along with emotions and feelings it will shape our
interpretation of the image.

serve a symbolic function?

The setting was realistic. The atmosphere was in a unpopulated forest, wherein houses are miles
and miles apart from each other. The objects serve a symbolic function for it symbolizes on what is
the state of the characters in the movie as a person.

7. How are the characters costumed and make-up? What does their clothing or make-up reveal about
their social standing, ethnicity, nationality, gender, or age? How do costume and make-up convey
characters?

The characters were just having a simple costume and make up. Their clothing and make-up were
reflecting their identity and state as a being.

filmmaking industry limit the way in which the film can represent particular subjects? Does the film
follow or critique dominant ideologies? Does it reflect and shape particular cultural tension?
As the setting was in a unpopulated land, calling for help might be difficult. Despite of the
setting, the importance was the characters’ identities and what the movie has shown as a value.
