for Mrs. Haskin’s Class 

Volunteering in your child’s classroom gives you the opportunity to see what’s happening first hand and observe your 
child in action in the school environment. It benefits your child in many ways, but it also benefits all of the children in 
the class and the teacher. There are so many things we would not be able to do without the help of parents. I truly 
appreciate any and all assistance! Listed below are many ways in which volunteers can help out. Please check all areas 
that interest you and return this form with your child. 

Please mark your choice and circle any days you are available – you’ll only be scheduled for one.

for our first grade team of teachers. Please circle this sentence if you will need copier training.

 
_____ Math Pentathlon Interested in teaching students how to play interactive problem solving games that help 
strengthen basic math concepts and skills? I’m looking for parent volunteers to teach our class how to play these 
games. After learning, we’ll work together to monitor/coach students as they play the game in small groups in our

__ Art Smarts Want to help inspire students to have an eye for art? We’re looking for parent volunteers to 
teach a brief lesson once a month based on a famous artist’s portfolio and do a simple craft that goes along with the 
portfolio’s theme. Please email LongacrePTAenrichments@gmail.com if you have any questions.  
 
 
_____ Join the PTA Perfect for ALL families, but especially parents who would like to help out, but aren’t able 
to come to our school during the school day. PTA membership forms were sent home on the first day of school to 
complete and return to school with your child.
