The Philippines can be characterized as tropical climate with hot, humid months
and a rainy, wet season. The Philippine climate is classified into four types depending
on rainfall distribution and pattern (Figure 4.2). The four climate types are described as
follows:
Climate has been described in rainfall distribution. Philippines has two season,
the wet and the dry season but Philippines is a tropical climate and rain can fall any day.

On average, 5 to 6 tropical cyclones blow over the area annually. The average
minimum temperature which usually occurs in January and February is about 24ºC
andthe average maximum temperature which usually occurs in May is about 31ºC.
Albay Province has an average frequency of typhoon occurrence of one time per
year. The frequency itself is the country’s mean as shown in the table 4.1,but the
