Pateros History

The Municipality of Pateros (Filipino: Bayan ng Pateros) is First-class

municipality in Metro Manila, Philippines. This small town is famous for its
duck-raising industry and especially for producing balut, a Filipino delicacy that
is boiled duck egg. Pateros is bordered by Pasig City to the north, Makati City
to the west, and Taguig City to the south.

 Pateros is situated in the northern bank of the Pasig River.

 It is bounded on the south by Taguig, on the east by Pasig and Taguig, on the west by
the Pateros River, on the north by the Pasig River, and on the northwest by Makati.
 Pateros is highly suited for urban development due to its flat terrain and good internal
and external drainage.
 About 63% of its land is used as a residential area.
 About 27% is agricultural land. The rest are taken up by the commercial and business
district.
