ABSTRACT

We are taught that honesty is the best policy in dealing with anything in life. That’s how we
were raised to implement. But is it really? Honesty in Architecture is not a way we present
architecture today.

The idea of honesty of architecture is to be true to the building structure, building circulation
and materials. And opposition is deception , by creating illusion like structural deceit, surface deceit
or even operative receipt.

While talking about an Educational Building, the façade, elements, spaces and the created
atmosphere must enhance the moral values of the learner and be an example of integrity in all the
formats whether it is the material, shape, structure, color, space etc.

At the same time, the spaces designed must have some reason for its existence and must follow the
ideology of “FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION”.
