Detected Targets

Spring parts that have failed to be inserted in the assembly

process are detected. The presence and orientation of rubber
packing are also judged.

Points to Consider at Installation

The IV-H Series captures targets in two dimensions so it is

capable of ignoring misalignment while the target is moving
during detection. Overall assembly can be confirmed because
up to 16 locations can be judged simultaneously.

Colour Detection of Assembly Defects in Button Assemblies

Detected Targets

The presence of buttons is detected by the colour after the part

has been assembled.

Points to Consider at Installation

Because judgement is performed based on colour, the target

is not influenced by lighting changes caused by differences
in the surface state or shape. Because 16 inspections can be
performed at once with one sensor, total cost is reduced.

Shape Gear Shape Detection by Difference in Inscribed Markings

Detected Targets

The difference in gear shape is judged from the marking

inscribed on the product.

Points to Consider at Installation

Detection can be performed stably using shape detection on

marks inscribed in metal surfaces. These would typically be
difficult to detect because of uneven reflectance. The patent
pending HS-HDR function can cancel out variance in reflected
light even on moving targets.

The orientation of o-rings are judged by the difference in cutting

groove.

Points to Consider at Installation

The newly developed profile tool allows differences in the shape

of cutting grooves to be stably judged even under conditions
where there is little difference in contrast. Fine adjustment after
installation is no longer required since a clear difference is
apparent by shape.

In-panel clips are judged by a single sensor to see whether or

not they have all been installed in the correct locations.

Points to Consider at Installation

Since the IV-H Series can simultaneously judge up to 16 points

within a large field of view of 550 × 412 mm, detection that had
to be performed by multiple sensors can now be performed by
a single unit.

The newly developed profile tool not only eliminates the influence
of background colour, but also enables patterns to be found in
the entire field of view. As a result, text can be detected stably
even if misalignment occurs while the target is moving.
