Course Title : POLITICAL SCIENCE AND GOVERNANCE
Credits: 3 units

Contact Hours: 54 hours

Prerequisite : None

Course Description:

This course is an introductory study of Political Science to provide competency in the basic sub-fields of political science that include Philippine politics,
political theory, comparative politics, international relations with emphasis on government and governance; constitutionalism; selected ideologies and philosophical
concepts that shaped various forms and nature of government. Emphasis will be placed on equipping students with introductory theories, concepts, and approaches
in political science and governance. The ultimate goal is to enable students to develop a more informed and critical view of historical and contemporary socio-
political issues in the Philippines, the region, and the world
