Main Method
Real-life Experiential Leaning that will be used in this program is 24 Hours Challenge.
The participants (in groups) will be given four complex challenges that needed to be accomplished
using limited resources (no mobile phone and personal money).
These challenges aim to enhance targeted soft competencies:

Why 24 Hours Challenge?


This challenge aims to grow and bring the participants out of their comfort zone.
In the end, the participants will experience perspective-changing moments rather than just a cognitive knowledge improvement.
During the de-brief session, the participants will be guided to contextualize the insights gained
to their daily life/ activities.

Because of it’s impact and uniqueness, this method has been used
by several state-owned companies and start-up in Indonesia.

Flow of 24 Hours Challenge


The participants are encouraged to manage all resources (time, budget, people) by their own. They have to coordinate, solve difficult
problem, and make decision in a limited time to accomplish the challenges. Here are the flow of activities:

Scoring of 24 Hours Challenge

SCORING SYSTEM

Performance score of each challenge will be ranked based on specific criterias by the judges from peopleshift. The challenge
ranking will determined the score gained by the group. The scoring system aims to encourage the participants to go extra
miles in executing the challenges given.

Criteria : The team has to create short movie with the duration of 7 minutes.
Challenge : The team should shoot the scene outside of the training location. Hence, they are
encouraged to interact, communicate and collaborate with external parties, for
example, they should ask strangers to become supporting actor/

Criteria : The team has to read and understand the content of chosen book and present them in front of the judges.
Challenge : All team member have to understand the content and context of the book. In the end of the presentation
session, there will be substance test (multiple choice questions) for each team member, and the team should get a
minimum of 70 average score.

Relevance : In term of communicating for complex problem solving, participants needed to have a broad knowledge in

order to make an accurate decision. The following listed book is carefully selected to enhance leadership skills of
the participants.

*Note: The books are being chosen by peopleshift according to Goodreads review. The books consisted of self development, leadership,
coordination, communication and building productive team theme.

Criteria : The team has to serve foods (with certain criteria, with a minimum budget of Rp 25.000/ pax) to a
minimum of 40 people from certain community
Challenge : The team should do fund-rising, buying the ingredient, cook, and serve the food in a very
limited time. They should also coordinate and communicate with communities to serve the food.

Criteria : The team has to contact, meet, learn, and create short biography of informal leaders assigned by peopleshift.
Challenge : They need to have a good communication and negotiation skills to make an appointment, meet and learn from
the leaders.
*The Inspiring Leaders being chosen by peopleshift shown a big vision, belief, and leadership values concerning with people, change and

After finishing each challenges, the team has to present their result and process to the judges from peopleshift in the given time slot.
The presentation booking will be been done in the beginning of the challenges.
They need to think strategically, because each slot requires price that will deduct the team final score.
