For some things there is simply no equivalent, such as roo ng and walling made from
lightweight, versatile and durable ZINCALUME® steel. Nothing else has delivered the
value, quality and design exibility of ZINCALUME® steel.

Roo ng sheets and wall cladding made from ZINCALUME® steel is available in a range of
attractive metal sheeting pro les including concealed x, corrugated and I.B.R. to name
a few. It is lightweight; versatile; attractive and has excellent corrosion resistance.

The coating on ZINCALUME® steel comprises of 55% aluminum, 43.5% zinc and 1.5%
silicon. It has excellent corrosion performance, forming capabilities and is available in
high strength grades.

ZINCALUME® steel was developed after extensive research into improving the
traditional performance of galvanised steel. By blending aluminum with zinc in an alloy
coating, researchers discovered a way to greatly enhance corrosion resistance. As a
result, our extensive testing programme indicates that roo ng or walling made from
ZINCALUME® steel lifespan is up to four times than that of galvanised steel with a Z275
coating in the same environment.

BlueScope Steel’s coating mass control technology is amongst the most advanced in the
world. A sophisticated coating mass gauge is linked to a computer in a closed-loop
control system ensuring accurate control and consistency of coating mass.

choice is yours. Mill nish galvanized steel
and other materials do not have the
same satin-smooth nish that is associated with roo ng or walling made from resin
coated genuine ZINCALUME® steel.

0.47mm TCT or 0.53mm TCT in

Zincalume® steel resin coated, AZ150
minimum (150g/m2) coating mass, Grade
G550 (minimum yield strength 550 MPa)
or G300 (minimum yield strength 300
MPa).

Fasteners to comply with Australian

Standard Class 3 or 4.

Flashing or ridge capping should be

manufactured form the same material as
used for the roo ng.
