INTRODUCTION

WHY THIS BOOKLET

BY Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak
Action Sociologist & Social Reformer, Founder, Sulabh Sanitation Movement
Brand Ambassador, Swachh Rail Mission & Member, National Legal Services Authority (NALSA)

I am dedicating this booklet to the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra

Modiji’s innovative idea of cashless initiative. When developed countries
like United Kingdom have a target for being cashless in 2020, our
Prime Minister has initiated this idea in 2016.
I am glad to say that Narendra Modiji’s vision is ahead of time. The
perspicacious vision of our Prime Minister by initiating and propagating this
concept will enhance and enrich the economy and lead the nation on a growth
trajectory which will uplift every citizen in a developed and happy country in
only a few years.
When I started Sulabh in the year 1968, everybody said that it will not happen. But today it is
happening.
Many of us lead busy lives. Some of us are up before the crack of dawn, getting ourselves prepared so
we can in turn get our families ready for the day. We rush to work, rush to get the kids to school, and
at the end of the day we rush home only to brace ourselves for the next day. After a hectic day, the last
thing you want to do is spend time waiting in line at the bank, or even the post office. That’s where
Online Banking comes in.
• There are many online banking advantages.
• Online banking allows you to bypass bank lines.
• You can conduct your banking transactions safely and securely without leaving the comfort of your
home. Plus, you’ll have easy access to your Online Statements.
• You can monitor your transactions and make sure that your balance information is correct.
• Online banking makes it possible for you to pay your bills electronically.
• You can schedule a single payment or you can set up recurring payments.
• You can also see when your payment will arrive.
• Some services offer features like balance alerts.
• These alerts will help you monitor your accounts and avoid fees.
• You can even set up alerts to keep up on account activity.
• Some standard alerts include transaction alerts, and Bill Pay alerts.
Since many new online-only banks are popping up, understanding how to access your accounts online
is an important tool.
