b. Basic Sanitation

 Clean Water Facilities

The people of Bulo Village - Bulo use clean water through well water and PDAM which are
sourced from Empoang Village, but only a small portion of the residents access. This is due
to the limitations of water debit, also because not all residents have their own water meter and
only ride in neighboring neighborhoods and pay monthly fees. Some residents of Bulo-Bulo
village have fresh water wells and some have water from the PDAM in Empoang Village.

 Sewerage and waste disposal

In general, all households in Bulo - Bulo village do not have a household waste water
drainage system and only allow the waste water to flow under the kitchen. For solid waste, it
is generally disposed of around the house and then burned.

 Families toilet
The ownership of family members of the community is still a concern, this phenomenon
shows that citizens' awareness to behave in a clean and healthy life is still very low.
Generally, residents throw away dirt / water at sea, even though there are also a small number
of residents who have a small family, only consisting of closet and wall made of gamacca /
zinc and the floor is just plain plastering / soil.
