 The proposed RuBiGas active degassing system for MSW
landfills (a massively improved version of Multriwell
technology) is a unique and patented in the Russian Federation
method according to which a large number of flexible vertical drains
are driven into the waste mass, united into clusters and connected
into a system of manifold on the surface.

 THE STRUCTURE OF RUBIGAS ACTIVE DEGASSING SYSTEM

The active degassing system consists of a set of vertical gas

drains, individually connected to heads of gas-collecting pipes.

The gas-collecting pipes are horizontally connected to a system of

manifolds with the help of specially designed air-tight T-couplings,
which unite vertical gas drains into gas-collecting clusters.

Each gas-collecting cluster is connected to an automated system

of gas flow regulation.
