Assalamualaikum wbt

I am ............................ from ......................., ............................ from .......................,

............................ from ......................., and ............................ from ......................., are

going to present about the ELECTROSTATIC FORCE

DO YOU KNOW WHAT IS ELECTROSTATIC FORCE??

Actually, you have learnt about the electrostatic force in Form 2.

So now, I am going to tell you what the electrostatic force is.

Electrostatic is a study of static electricity charges that exists between electrically

charged particles or objects at rest.

Static means intact or not moving.

The charge consists of positive charge and negative charge.

(show the charge  )

nurin

This is a neutral object. (show the ruler)

The neutral object means, the number of positive charge and negative charge. is

SAME..

If the object that has been rubbed, the negative charge will move and it will make the

object become either a positive or negatively charge.

(show the movement of negative charge)

Aula

These charge can be detected in the lab by using the electroscope.

This charge can be generated by rubbing two different materials which causes one to

be charged positively and another is charged negatively.

For example, the clothes and the Plastic ruler.

(show the apparatus )

hanis

Can anyone tell me what else can we use to generate the electrostatic charge??

Cloth and paper, ruler and paper, running water and a balloon are the apparatus to

produce electrostatic force.

There are so many examples of electrostatic force.

For example :

When I do iron my silk or cotton cloth and keep it right in front of me, they just cling

or attract on to my body.

Lightning is also another example of electrostatic force

Now, we are going to show all of you a simple activities that related with the

electrostatic force.
1. Can can go!! (aula)

The apparatus that we use are the Plastic ruler, a can & a cloth.

First, we have to rub the plastic ruler. The purpose of rubbing the can is to make the

Plastic ruler become charges.

After that, put the Plastic ruler near to the can.

What happen to the can ??? we can see that the can will move. This is because the

pipe had been charge that makes the can repel .

2. ayu

For my activity, we just need a tissue paper, a plastic ruler and a balloon.

First, we rubbed the plastic ruler on the surface of the cloth. We also can use a hair

dryer to make the plastic ruler charged faster. After that, we just bring the ruler

nearer to the tissue paper. We can see that the tissue paper attract to the ruler.

We also can use the balloon in this activity. We just rubber the balloon using a cloth

and bring it nearer to the tissue paper. The tissue paper will also attract to the

balloon.
3. nurin

For my activity, we just need a glass rod, a bottle, a plastic ruler and a cloth

First, we put the glass rod on the bottle cap. Then, we rubbed the plastic ruler on the

surface of the cloth. We also can use a hair dryer to make the plastic ruler charged

faster. After that, we just bring the ruler nearer to the glass rod. . We can see that the

glass rod will attract to the ruler and move around.

4. hanis

For the last activity, we just need a balloon, a bottle of coloured water, a retort stand

and a cloth. Before that, we have to make a hole on the bottle cap to allow the water

going out.

First, we rubbed the balloon on the surface of the cloth for a few second to make the

plastic ruler charged. After that, we just bring the balloon nearer to the running

water . We can see that the water will attract to the water.

So based on the activities, we can conclude that the electrostatic charge can produce

by rubbing the object.

The same charge will attract & the different charge will repel.
