There are many literary works now a day that had been published and had been taken

account from different authors and writers in different places in the Philippines and in different
time, be it orally, in written, or posted on different social media platforms. Literature can also be
associated as the founding source of fountain of peace and tranquillity of this world. As what as
many authors in the Philippines usually write in their works, the mainly and typically genre they
used are patriotism, nationalistic, seeking for freedom and love for the country. Even in the
literature in the world, in every country by country, in places by places, they have been writing a
literary works that been depicting their country’s fight for peace and freedom. Here in the
Philippines also have many literary works that describe the battle of the Filipinos in seeking for
the freedom of the country.
The contributions of the canonical Filipino writers brought a big influence to the
development of the Philippine literature for they put their hearts and some values into their works
that will surely intrigued and thrashed the heart of the readers for some personal, explained and
unexplained reason. Mostly all of the Philippines canonical authors’ works are delineating the
hardships, the discrimination, and the battle of Filipinos to acquire the longing freedom. Quite a
few canonical authors also been enlisted and awarded as a National Artist for Literature and made
a big name not just here in the Philippines but also in the whole world because of their outstanding
and well-appreciated intellectual cognizance about art and literary. One of these outstanding
Filipino is Carlos P. Romulo which was also been elected as a president in the United Nation
General Assembly and also the chairman of United Nation Security Council. As per what Dr. Jose
Rizal, one of the famous canonical writer and the national hero of the Philippines, said that ‘We
can prove to the world that when a Filipinos truly desire a thing, he can achieve and accomplish it'
and it’s true and authentic since Filipino, in any aspects, thrive to be fit among the most fit, thrive
to become successful and an inspiration to others because that is the natural nature of the Filipinos.
Filipinos are surely talented in any fields, even though there are shortcomings, Filipinos won’t
bend their knees and won’t easily give up a thing, especially if it’s for the country Philippines.
Canonical authors, all in all, are very commendable, for the literary works they’ve given to us, for
the inspiration and divine influence they’ve shared to us and for all the contribution they’ve made
to make the Philippine literature to get its peak of splendor.
Literary works maybe just a simple wordings from the imagination of a writer, but deep
inside the text, the knowledge we can learn can’t compare to the word simple. Authors and writers
way of expressing their thoughts through words definitely struck us with great wisdoms and
learnings, definitely its not just to entertain, to amuse us but also to give our gray-scale country to
bloom with colorful artistry through their imaginative and creative wordings. Canonical authors
brought and lift our Philippine literature to its finest, with their passionate skills towards their
works. Through canonical authors and their works, we can learn so many things, we can be inspired
just by reading and understanding their works and also it can boost our eagerness to do something
without return especially to our beloved country. With this, we can conclude that without the
authors and writers here in the Philippines, especially the canonical authors, we will not be who
are we today, they’re the one who gave us our identity because of them we all know now who we
are standing for, and it is our precious country, Philippines.
