I am reaching out from Brunner, an independent marketing and advertising agency, with promotions
and new hire announcements for the “People on the Move” section in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Brunner is an innovative agency with offices in Pittsburgh and Atlanta. We have recently hired 5

The following people have recently been promoted at Brunner:

• Amy DePalma has been promoted from Junior Visual Developer to Visual Developer. A graduate
from Slippery Rock University with a background in digital and traditional design, Amy applied
her strengths, vision and passion to a variety of Brunner client projects over the past three
years. During her almost 10 year career, Amy has spent time with public companies, design
firms and now with Brunner’s Digital Experience group.

• Brad Green has been promoted from Visual Developer to Senior Visual Developer. Brad’s been
a Consultant, a Programmer, and now a senior developer. Part of the core BHiveLab team, he
started with Brunner in 2017 as a Visual Developer after spending about six years on the
client-side with companies including national retailers, gaming companies and financial
institutions.

• Brian Klingensmith has been promoted from Human Resources Generalist to People & Culture
Manager. A member of the Shared Services team, Brian came to Brunner in 2016. In this
position, Brian is accountable for all activities facilitating the embodiment of Brunner’s core
values: heart, collaboration and attitude. With past roles including positions with leading
healthcare and financial organizations, Brian will celebrate his three year anniversary this fall.

• Chrissy Lynn has been promoted from Operations Manager to Associate Director, Operations.
Chrissy has played an integral role in the development and rapid growth of Performance
Marketing at Brunner. She joined the agency three years ago, after nearly a decade in digital
marketing. In addition to her day-to-day responsibilities, she’s also part of the Lunch ‘n Learn
committee focused on knowledge sharing and continued education.
• Emily DeShantz has been promoted from Associate Producer to Producer. Emily honed her
early career skills on production sets for TV shows and movies. She then harnessed that
experience in roles with Brunner including New Business Coordinator during which she
supported pitches and new client onboarding. Since 2016, she has been promoted three
times.

• Jordan Mitrik has been promoted from PR Specialist to Senior PR & Content Specialist. Jordan
came to Brunner in the midst of one of the agency’s busiest seasons as a 2017 intern. Within
months he was promoted to Junior Content Creator, then PR Specialist and now PR and
Content Senior Specialist leading key agency accounts. Named PRSA Pittsburgh’s 2019 Rising
Star, he’s also a member of the chapter’s executive board and volunteers each year with The
Pitch.

• Justin Shaffer has been promoted from Search Engine Marketing Manager to Senior Manager,
Search. Joining Brunner in late 2018, Justin was quickly promoted. In his new role he is
Brunner’s lead SEM expert providing strategic counsel and oversight to client activities. With
more than six years of experience, he’s a graduate of Geneva College and works alongside his
brother Adam who began his career with Brunner in January.

• Kailey Hazlett has been promoted from Executive Assistant / Agency Services Specialist to Talent
Acquisition / Office Administrator. Hired as an Agency Services Coordinator in 2016, Kailey
demonstrated an immediate and innate understanding of the agency’s functions. This
resulted in a move into a Junior Project Manager role in 2017 followed by being promoted to
her former position in 2018. Kailey is a member of the American Marketing Association.

• Katie Collins has been promoted from Social Media Strategist to Brand Engagement Manager.
Katie first joined Brunner in 2013 as a Public Relations Consultant Freelancer. Quickly
building a reputation steeped in success, she has been promoted three times in six years. In
addition to her leadership within Brand Engagement, she’s also an avid traveler.

• Luke Navickas has been promoted from Search Account Manager to Senior Manager,
Search. After transitioning from a career as an educator at West Allegheny School District to
digital marketing, Luke cut his teeth at a national search firm. After three years there, he
joined Brunner in focused primarily on lead generation, acquisition and SEO. He will maintain
that focus in his new role. In addition to his position with Brunner, Luke is also a volunteer
firefighter and youth soccer coach.
• Matt Cancilla has been promoted from Database Operations Manager to Associate Director,
Data Management. With a background including both agency and client-side, Matt has
leveraged his expertise, and more than a decade of experience in his former role. Matt will
lead the agency’s growing data management capabilities while also collaborating with Data
Science to build upon the agency’s analytics abilities. He’s a graduate of Grove City College.

• Michael Rohn has been promoted from Junior Application Developer to Application Developer.
After spending several years in consumer-facing positions with major tech retailers, Michael
joined Brunner two years ago. After completing training with Coding Dojo, he applied his
experience and skills as a Junior Application Developer. This year, his achievements were
recognized with a promotion.

• Nate Wachter has been promoted in Brunner’s Atlanta office from Senior Account Manager to
Account Director. A tenured member of the Account Management team, and with nearly a
decade of experience, Nate has been part of the Brunner family for almost seven years. His
most recent promotion comes after a banner year during which he led key accounts,
contributed to the growth of the Atlanta office and continued to demonstrate leadership.
He’s a member of the Atlanta Ad Club.

• Ryan Bopp has been promoted from Digital Account Manager to Senior Manager, Display. Fast
approaching his four-year anniversary with Brunner, Ryan expanded accountabilities
including a full swath of paid social media and digital display client responsibilities, Ryan
continues to be a strong agency contributor building on his nearly seven years of digital
marketing experience.
