Football Rules - LVC RC Football tournament 2017-18

Play safe : Make sure that you don’t get injured and don’t make injury to others. Players are participating in
this tournament just for fun

Yellow card : Player has to go out for 5 minutes. No substitution for that player.

Red card : Out of the play and no substitution.

Some of the football rules followed in LVC football tournament might appear to be no way related to
normal FIFA football rules. However, the basic football rules will be remain same for LVC football
tournament.

In case the ball has been kicked to the vacant area outside the LVC football court by a particular team
during the play, it is the responsibility of that team to get the ball or replace a new ball.

Rules and Regulations

1) There must be no more than 5 players on the field of play for either team.
2) Goal Keeper can use his hands only inside the penalty area
3) Play will not be allowed to continue when a foul is committed. The advantage rule is not applicable.
4) Goalkeeper cannot use hands for a minus pass received from his team mates. Goalkeeper has to
release the ball from his hand within 10 seconds.
5) For side kick/corner/free kick, the opponent team should keep a minimum distance of 5 feet.
6) If the ball goes out of the boundary line it should be taken as a kick. No throw !!
7) Penalty should be taken from a standing position. The running penalty kicks are not allowed.
8) Rolling Substitution is allowed by informing referee. Substitution can be done only when the ball goes
out of play.(side kick/Corner)
9) Goalkeeper can only do “under arm throw”. Throw should not cross the centre line.
10) No off side.
11) Match will have two halves and time for each half will be 25 minutes. Additional time will be provided
based on the time lost during the play and that decision will be done by the main referee.
12) The decision taken by the main referee will be final and he has the rights to overrule the side-line
referees.
13) Few examples of the foul are given below:

Kicking a player
Jumping up at a player
Charging a player in a rough way
Charging a player from behind
Tripping a player
Hitting a player or referee
Pushing a player even if it's shoulder push
Holding a player
Sliding tackle, side tackle and tackle from behind

The referee will decide the type of card(Red/Yellow) based on the severity of the foul and this decision
completely comes under referee’s jurisdiction.

14) Any use of abusive language by the players(both playing and bench players) will result in a red/yellow
card
