and also to calculate the nutritional value, and calculate the economic
value. This study is a quasi-experimental research with the same
experimental design subjects. Treatment studies are 3 types of
modification modisco pudding Moringa leaves and 1 modisco control
judged by 30 panelists and panelists apparent. Test Results Friedman
K-releated to the characteristic flavors (sig = 0,000 <α 0.005), color
(sig = 0,000 <α 0.005), aroma (sig = 0,000 <α 0.005) and texture (sig =
0,000 <α 0.005) showed a difference meaningful. The results showed
that additional modified food modisco Moringa leaves and control
acceptable (preferred), especially the type of pudding toddler modisco
Moringa leaves 5 gr. The nutritional value of food additives contained
in the modification modisco 5 grams Moringa leaves are also high and
costs are cheap. It is therefore recommended to use additional modified
food modisco Moringa leaves to overcome difficulties supplementary
feeding modisco modifications.

I. INTRODUCTION

Toddler age is a very important time for the growth of children. If the child has nutritional
disorders, then the process of growth and development, both physical and mental, will be directly
affected. Today, children who experience severe nutritional disorders, for example, lack of protein
calories, can be cured quickly. The child can be given MODISCO (high nutritious food or drink).
MODISCO stands for Modified Disco, a nutritious food or beverage found in 1973 by May and
Whitehead. MODISCO was first tested for children with severe malnutrition in Uganda (Africa) with
satisfactory results1.
Kelor (Moringa oleifera) is known as The Miracle Tree or Magic Tree because it is
scientifically proven to be a nutritious nutritional source of medicinal ingredients outside of the usual
plant habit. According to the results of the study, Kelor leaf turned out to contain vitamin A, vitamin C,
Vit B, calcium, potassium, iron, and protein, in very high amounts that are easily digested and
assimilated by the human body. In fact, the number is multiplied from food sources that have been used
as a source of nutrition for nutritional improvement in many parts of the country2.
A number of activities undertaken to overcome malnutrition problems (KEP) are with Local
Supplemental Food Supplements (PMT-Local), both in the form of modisco and non modisco.

Modisco is an alternative formula that has been proven and tested to increase the weight of
malnourished children quickly. This formula is usually presented in the form of a solution or a modisco
slurry. But often found complaints of officers in the field and mothers toddlers that children often do
not want to consume modisco because it is less preferred and less attractive shape. Therefore it is
necessary to make modisco acceptable by toddler (KEP) with processed into a snack so that its
appearance is more interesting and it feels like children. The purpose of this research is to know the
acceptance of additional local food of modification modified kelor leaf as an effort to change
nutritional status in toddlers.

II. METHOD

This research was a quasi-experimental research with the same subject experimental design.
Treatment of the study were 3 types of modific modified modified coconut leaf pudding and 1 modisco
control were assessed by 30 panelists and pseudo panels.

III. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

A. Subject Characterization

Based on table 1, it is known that most panelist respondents are between 20-30 years old, as
many as 24 (80%) of respondents, high school (17%), %) of respondents. While respondents in pseudo
panelists average age is 20-30 months number of 23 (77%) and male sex number of 19 (63%) of
respondents.

From table 2 we get the result that chi-square quantity shows 46,185 results with sig value.
That is 0,000. So the significance value is 0,000 <α 0.05 which means that H0 is rejected H1 accepted
which means there is a difference in flavors on the modifications of modlic modoko leaf morph which
has the acceptance of supplementary feeding (PMT-local) modify modification.

From table 3 we get the result that the chi-square quantity shows the result of 43,803 with the
sig value. That is 0,000. So the significance value is 0.000 <α 0.05 which means that H0 is rejected H1
accepted which means there is a modification of modified pearl leaf modific that has difference of
acceptance of supplementary feeding (PMT-local) modified modifica as an effort to improve
nutritional status in toddler.

From table 4 we get the result that the chi-square quantity shows the result of 35,949 with the
sig value. That is 0,000. So the significance value is 0.000 <α 0.05 which means that H0 is rejected H1
accepted which means there is a difference of aroma in modification poding modisco leaf moringa
which have acceptance of supplementary feeding (PMT-local) modifi modification.

From table 6 we get the result that the chi-square value shows the result of 24,818 with the sig
value. That is 0,000. So the significance value of 0,000 <α 0.05 which means that H0 is rejected H1
accepted which means there is difference in the received power in the pseudo panelis with modification
poding modisco leaf kelor on feeding supplements (PMT-local) modific modifications as an effort to
improve nutritional status in infants.

Acceptance of Additional Food Moringa Leaf Modisco Modification

Food is one of the basic needs that every day must be met in certain assurance as a source of
energy and nutrients. Humans eat for pleasure, in general the preferred food is that satisfy the taste or
taste that is color, flavor, aroma, and texture3.
The effect on taste to show consumer acceptance of a food is generally done by means of
human senses. Foodstuffs to be tested were tested on several tasting panels. Each panel will determine
the quality or acceptance of the material under test.
Acceptance of color, flavor, aroma, texture will affect the acceptance rate of modificated
modified modified modified modified leaves. General assessment results on acceptability or panelist
preference levels and false panelists on 5% moringa leaf pudding, moringa 10% leaf pudding, 15%
moringa leaf pudding and control pudding are almost the same that likes to the supplementary food of
modisco. This can be seen from the average value is between 3.2 - 4.5, which means panelist judgment
and pseudo-panelists are fond of pudding of 5 grams of moringa leaves, 10 grams, 15 grams and
controls.
On the scent assessment the panelists and pseudo panelists also like the pancakes of 10gram
moringa leaves. This is because in this pudding aroma fits not sting or sharp. Toddlers will love the
aroma of food that is not sharp. While on pudding modisco leaf moringa 15 gr aroma is very stinging
this is due to the number of doses of Moringa leaves a lot. In general, the smell received by the nose
and the brain is more a variety of herbs or a mixture of four major smells are fragrant, sour, rancid,
charred. The nature of the scent is often used as an assessment of the quality of freshness or limitation
of whether or not a foodstuff in the perspective of health.4

From the statistical test results using friedman test showed that the significance value of the
taste variables is 0.000 so that the sig value, <α 0.005 which means there is a modification of
modification modisco leaf morph which has the difference of acceptance of supplementary feeding
(PMT-local) modifi modification in an effort to improvement of nutritional status in toddlers.
While the results of statistical tests using friedman test showed that the significance value of
the color variables is 0,000 so that the value of sig, <α 0.005 which means there is a modification of
modification modisco leaf pig modifications that have different acceptance of supplementary feeding
(PMT) to improve nutritional status in infants.
Then from the results of statistical tests using friedman test showed that the value of the
significance of the aroma variable is 0.000 so that the value of sig, <α 0.005 which means there is a
modification of modification leaf modific leaf kelor which have different acceptance of supplementary
feeding (PMT) to improve nutritional status in infants.
And from statistic test result using friedman test shows that the significance value of texture
variable is 0.000 so that sig value, <α 0,005 meaning that there is texture of modification of modlic
modoko leaf morph which have difference of acceptance of supplementary feeding (PMT) to improve
nutritional status in infants.

While in the pseudo-panelists showed that the results of statistical tests using friedman test
showed the significance value of the pseudo-paneler is 0,000 so the value of sig, <α 0.005 which means
there is modification of modori leaf morph leaf which has a difference of pseudo-panelist gain on
supplementary feeding (PMT- local) modified modifications as an attempt to improve nutritional status
in infants.

Additional Nutritional Value Moringa Leaf Modisco Modification

Nutritional value or Nutrition Facts is information that mentions the amount of nutrients
contained in a food product With the Information about this nutritional value, we can estimate how
much energy, protein, fat, vitamins, and some types of minerals that will enter the body when we
consume a food.
The nutritional value contained in supplemental food modification modifications is higher than
before modific plus. This can be seen from the energy content of each kelor leaf pudding and different
controls. In 5 ml of leaf puding leaves the energy content of 4.6 calories after added modico to 104.1
calories, so there is an addition of 99.5 calories (100%). While the pudding leaves moringa 10 grams of
energy content 9.2 calories after added modisco to 108.7 calories, so there is an addition of 99.5
calories (100%). Then on the leaves of Moringa leaves 15 grams of energy content of 30.7 calories and
after the addition of modisco to 130.2 calories, so there is addition of 99.5 calories (100%). And on the
control pudding does not exist because the function of the control pudding is as normal value of the
type of Moringa leaf pudding.
Then on carbohydrate content also have higher content than without giving modisco that is at
pudding leaves 5 grams of carbohydrate content of 0.63 gr after added modico to 10,5 gr, so there is
addition of equal to 9,9 gr (100%). While on pudding leaves 10 grams of carbohydrate grit 1.25 gr after
added modisco to 11.2 gr, so there is an addition of 9.9 gr (100%). Then on the leaves of Moringa
leaves 15 grams carbohydrate content 4.17 gr and after addition of modisco to 14,1 gr, so also there is
addition of 9,9 gr (100%). And on the control pudding does not exist because the function of the
control pudding is as normal value of the type of Moringa leaf pudding.
While the protein content obtained the same results are also the result after giving higher
modisco contains. It can also be seen from the 5 ml of leaf puding leaves the protein content of 0.34
gram after added modisco to 3.90 gr, so there is an addition of 3.56 gr (100%). While on the pudding
leaves 10 grams of coconut milk protein content of 0.68 gr after added modisco to 4.24 gr, so there is
an addition of 3.56 gr (100%). Then on the pudding leaves 15 grams of mungbean protein content 2.27
gr and after the addition of modisco to 5.83 gr, so also there is addition of 3.56 gr (100%). And on the
control pudding does not exist because the function of the control pudding is as normal value of the
type of Moringa leaf pudding.
And on the fat content of addition of modisco also gives higher results contains namely: on
pudding leaves kelor 5 gram fat content 0.10 gr after added modico to 5.2 gr, so there is addition of 5.1
gr (100%). While on the pudding of moringa leaves 10 grams fat content of 0.18 gr after added
modisco to 5.28 gr, so there is addition of 5.1 gr (100%). Then on the pudding leaves 15 ml of fat gram
content of 0.58 gr and after the addition of modisco to 5.68 gr, so also there is addition of 5.1 gr
(100%). And on the control pudding does not exist because the function of the control pudding is as
normal value of the type of Moringa leaf pudding.
The addition of modisco to selected basic recipes also shows the addition of nutritional value,
both in the energy content, carbohydrates, proteins and fats. But for the type of pudding is already
qualified PMT although not yet added modisco but the addition of modisco show better results. This
can be seen from the references of additional food supplements in the field (Dept. Kes 1998/1999), the
composition of energy nutrients 360-430 calories, 9-11 grams of protein given 3-4 times a day in small
portions.

IV. CONCLUSION

The results of the general assessment on the acceptance or the level of panelist and quasi-
panelist preferences on the variables of taste, color, aroma and texture of 5% moringa pudding, 10%
moringa pudding, 15% moringa leaf pudding and control pudding are almost the same likes to the
added modific food provided.
Kinds of modori kelor leaf which is very liked by panelist and pseudo panelis is on flavor of
5gr kelor leaf puding then on color and texture on pudding of moringa leaf 10 gr.
Nutritional value contained in the type of leaf pudding moringa already meet the requirements
of additional feeding requirements (PMT).
