This paper examines how to recreate the unique sound of the traditional Indonesian musical instrument, the sasando, in a modern way. The research measures the impulse and frequency response of the dried lontar leaf resonator that gives the sasando its distinctive tone. Results show the resonator dampens higher notes and adds reverb. By analyzing the resonator's characteristics, the researcher creates a filter to mimic the resonator and reproduce the traditional sasando sound in a digital format.
