Atom Structure Timeline

In the early 20th century science and technology continued to develop. Max Plancks quantum theory (1900), Albert
Einstein special theory of relativity (105), and Neils Bohr's theory of atomic structure (1913 - 15) were among the
most notable scientific advancement.

The diagrammatic representation of atomic structure timeline and the scientist worked on atomic theory is shown
below.

Atom Structure Chart

The atoms were believed to be the minute, indivisible particles of which all material things were made. The nucleus
was thought to consist of protons and neutrons and to form an atom, only electrons needed to be added in external
shells. Therefore protons, neutrons and electrons were considered as the elementary particles.

Atomic structure of some of the atoms are listed below.

structure of an Atoms
The basic building block of any substance is the atom. Every element and compound is made up of one or more
atoms. In making up of the atom an atom is made up of only one nucleus but can have several shells. Within the
nucleus protons and neutrons are present. Every element has a specific number of protons. For example, carbon will
always have six protons and oxygen will always have eight protons. The number of protons corresponds to the
atomic number of the element.

Electrons orbit around the nucleus much way planets orbit the sun. These electrons are said to reside in shells
sometimes called orbits or rings. Protons and electrons are electrically charged. Protons are positively charged and
electrons are negatively charged. Neutrons have no electrical charge and thus they have very little bearing on an
atoms electrical activity.

The structure of the atom and the electrical charges associated with parts of the atom are shown below.
Summary of atomic structure is give below.

The significance of the Bible as the word of God in theology as seeking to understand is that to
believe that there was a faith to Jesus Christ, the center of all and the main idea of all. God brings us into
relation with Himself through Christ as the basis for all true identity and community. Many problems in
the lives of professing believers are the result of opting for false sources of identity and community. All
of God‟s purposes are in Christ. Theology keeps opening up to us all that God is toward us in Christ.
Christ-centered sense of the bible as one great unified whole, testifying to the mighty work of God's
redemption through his eternal Son, the triumphant Christ. Theology is a discipline that tries to seek and
cherish the truth, the truth that sets people free and helps people to stand on their two feet as authentic and
identifiable responsible men and women. it helps us to determine what themes and truths of scriptures are
really important, and why. As we seek to understand how the scriptures naturally unfold, and how its
themes are developed and grow ever more mature, we start to realize what's truly being emphasized.
Scripture is divinely inspired in that God actively worked through the process and had his hand in the
outcome of what Scripture would say. Inspired Scripture is simply written revelation.
The Quadrilateral is true to history, what people do with their heads, and what people actually
live through while confirming the chief place of Scripture in the making of theology. Christian tradition
can also be used in conjunction with experience as Wesley saw it. It allows us to see the collective
experience of Christianity and employ it as a tool for assessing whether or not we have been true to
Christianity. Furthermore, it is important that Christian tradition is not limited merely to historical events
and thinking. Rather, Christian tradition also has a future aspect to it. It is passed to each successive
generation. The Christian tradition is the unbroken succession of giving away the Gospel all the way
from the apostles to present day believers. Hopefully, we continue to pass on a faithful rendering of what
it means to live as a Christian in our world.the Christian tradition holds sole authority for interpreting
Scripture and experience. Moreover, many believe that the Church alone speaks as the very mouthpiece
of God. The problem with this mentality is that it led some to believe that the task of theology could be
accomplished through the power of the Church alone, sometimes ignoring the Spirit. Tradition is
therefore the process of theology growing and building upon that which was laid before.
There was a reason to believe that our faith is the one that makes us exper ience the
Holy Spirit. Christian faith and reason can also be connected in another important way.
the Incarnation of Jesus Christ moves one from an initial stage of faith to a deeper stage
of reflection and a greater sense of God's majesty. Reason as an exercise in discovery and
explanation while faith is acceptance without discovery and explanation. I think the two
definitions overly limit what is meant by both Reason and faith. Reason can be exercised
through faith, and faith can be confirmed by Reason. The two can go together. However, it
should be noted that if a person views Reason as the opposite of faith, then this will also
inform a person’s theology.
Experience ceases to be private when it is shared by a group of people and when it is subjected to
critical examination and declared valid beyond the individual. Experience informs theology through
guidance; the Holy Spirit who inspired Scripture can (and has and does) guide God’s people to new
interpretations and applications of truths hidden in Scripture.
