DASHMAN COMPANY

 Identification of problems: Lack of communication and coordination between managers

and executives about sales and purchasing the material.

 Establishment of the problem: as the company is large concern for making many types of

equipment there is lack of personal relation and communication between managers and

executives which are effecting the purchase and sales of the company as mr. post is busy and

not coordinating with other plant managers properly and after the first step of mr. post of

centralizing the purchase department he dint gave proper assistance to the other managers so

it was not that effective in the beginning.

 Objective related to the problem: Mr. Larson had served the company in a variety of

capacities for many years and knows most of the plant executives personally so if mr . post is

busy in other work then mr. Larson should have coordinated well with other managers about

the purchase and sell of the equipments also maintained personal relation so that the

centralization of purchasing procedure should have been smooth between other plants and

head office.

 Generation of alternatives:

 To maintain the timing of the execution of procurement of raw material according to

the purchase of other department.

 Proper leadership of mr. post to maintain the communication and coordination

between all the organization.

 Mr. larson should be in touch with other plant managers for any communication as mr. post

 Mr. post should consider and seek advice from mr . Larson about any changes to the

organization as he knows well about the company.

 Mr. post and mr. Larson should plan something to make the process of purchasing procedure

information should transfer smoothly between the department as soon as possible.

 Contingency plan: after all the problem-solving approaches if it still doesn’t work out then

mr manson should take some immediate action to employ more people into the organization

to coordinate between the head office and the 20 plants regarding the purchases made by the

plants in oder to bridge the communication gap between the head office and the 20 plants and

further should refer to the higher authorities for controlling the situation.
