OPERATION & MAINTENANCE


SUMMARY

The works of this schedule comprises of the supply of all manpower, electric power for
technology, transportation of sludge, spares, repairs and replacement as required and
any other requirements for the smooth functioning of the Sewage treatment plant with
4 years O & M period from the date of successful commissioning as shown in table
below :

The works of this schedule comprises of the supply of all manpower, electric power for
technology, transportation of sludge, spares, repairs and replacement as required and any other
requirements for the smooth functioning of the Sewage treatment plant with 4 years O & M
period during the First year from the date of successful commissioning as shown in table O & M-
1 below:

1 Fixed Charges:

non-technical power cost and any other charges if required.
2 Cost of Power (CP)
(Here CP should be calculated based on Guaranteed power (PG)
submitted by Contractor as per formula
CP= PG x 365days/year x 7 Rs/kWh x 1 years O&M )
Minimum power requirement in kWh/MLD as per point 7 given in
Volume II B, Section C. All the charges for the use of power shall be
borne by the contractor and paid directly to the concerned Electric
Supply Company, by contractor. However, average per unit cost has
been considered as Rs 7/kWh (inclusive of all charges) for power
charges estimation. If the electricity rate is revised (increase/decrease
w.r.t. Rs. 7/kWh) the difference of the amount against power cost shall
be adjusted by the Employer. Flow may vary depending on the site
conditions and payment of power component during O&M shall be as
per Volume IV clause 6.1.

3 Flow Dependent Charges:


It may include Chlorine, Alum, Poly electrolyte, other chemicals if
required and transportation of sludge.

4 Maintenance Repair, Replacement and Miscellaneous Charges:


It shall include all repairs, maintenance. It includes all replacement
cost of machinery and equipments, also includes all other charges for
miscellaneous items for smooth functioning of the plant

Total price for O & M for the First Year

Note:
1. The cost of damages to the system shall not be included in the O&M–1 as it is
already covered under ‘Defects Liability Period”.
2. Total price for O & M for 1st year in part C/1 shall be lines with rates quoted for
1st year in Part C
