Although we have self-organising and

this is the role of the development manager

It is not important. It is a waterfall/Industrial

Your Correct

At each level of SAFe configuration the

development manager runs the three key
roles (Product/solution management, 0
Development/architectire, and coordination)

SAFe teams are focused on delivery, and to

do that job are empowered in many ways,
but there still remains a need for
management outside of the ARTs to provide
1
for aspects such as pastoral care, risks and
issues management, and for building
capacity and capability in the teams.

The Development management (or analgous) role does exist outside the formal structures of
SAFe and this recognition identifies that line management of some kind is still required, for
many good reasons.

Innovation Accounting (Eric Ries) uses the following three basic steps:

1) It uses a minimal viable product (MVP) to establish real data on where the company stands at
any
given juncture. An MVP is the fastest way to establish a customer feedback loop with minimal
output of effort.

Its primary goal is to test fundamental business hypotheses without having to perfect the product
or service in question too prematurely.

2) Using the MVP, start-ups, through many attempts, move from the baseline to the ideal, when
the company then reaches a decision point.

3) At this juncture, a company is either making solid progress toward the ideal enough that it
makes sense to continue, or persevere. If not, the strategy must be deemed flawed and in need of
serious change―or as Ries labels it, a pivot, which starts the process all over again and in a more
productive fashion than before.

Question 49
The Epic owner is responsible for defining the Epic, it's MVP and Lean Business Case and
getting it approved; after that they hand over to the Business Owner for implementaiton, with no
further responsibilities.
Score: 0 of 1

Your answer Choice Correct? Score Feedback Correct answer

True 0

False 0
It is correct that the Epic Owner is responsible for driving the Epic through to the Go/no-go
decision point (approval). But their responsibilities do not end there. After the Epic has been
accepted for implementation the Epic Owner must collaborate with Agile teams to shepherd the
development and realize the benefits. Depending on the situation the Epic Owner may stay
engaged on an ongoing basis.https://www.scaledagileframework.com/epic-owner/
