Brief History
Kids on Keyboard Computer Enrichment Center Inc. was conceptualized in
2004 because of the experiences of the owners of the school in the fields of
education and information technology.
The school started as an after-school computer tutorial center and as an
academic enrichment center for children ages 2 years old until high school. In
2006, the school began offering a computer enriched one-year preschool program
with the integration of computer enrichment subjects for kids ages 3 to 5. Research
on the positive effects of integrating information technology into teaching
especially the use of technology to enhance the learning of kids ages two to six
prompted the owners to formally open its preschool offering Nursery, Kinder and
Prep which will focus on the different areas of learning while using computer
software to enrich each lesson.
In 2008, The Department of Education granted the school its Government
Permit to operate a preschool. In 2010, the Department of Education gave the
school its Government Recognition.
Along with the preschool program, the school also offered Playgroup
classes to cater to kids 2 to 3 years old. This allowed them to have informal
sessions to develop their social and communication skills through varied activities.
The yearly increase in the enrolment proves that the center is providing a
holistic development to the children.
Vision
The vision of Kids on Keyboard Computer Enrichment Center is to prepare
children for the academic challenges of tomorrow through high quality preschool
education which is centered on enhancing learning through the use of the different
educational technologies particularly the use of computer.
Mission
To achieve our vision, Kids on Keyboard Computer Enrichment Center will:
1. Provide effective preschool curriculum;
2. Develop or use appropriate educational computer programs or
software to enhance learning; and
3. Create an environment in which children will have fun while
learning;
Enrollment Policy:
1. Enrollment shall be open to any child, provided that the school can
meet the needs of that child.
2. Enrollment in the school shall be granted without discrimination.
3. The child must meet the age limits of enrollment at the school.
Playgroup - 2 years old by September 30
Jr. Nursery - 3 years old by September 30
Sr. Nursery - 4 years old by September 30
Kinder - 5 years old by September 30
1. Fees and tuitions are set by Kids on Keyboard in accordance with the
provisions of the annual budget and approved by DepEd.
2. The school registrar or an assigned teacher collects all fees and tuition.
Class Attendance
1. Students are required to come to class on time. Students may be absent
from classes for reasonable cause.
2. Teachers should be advised for any request on leaving the premises or
other special permission by the parent/guardian.
Identification Card
The school ID must be worn at all times inside the school campus. In case of
lost ID, replacement fee is one hundred fifty pesos (Php 150.00).
Uniform
The uniform is the required attire and should always be clean and neat.
Boys:
Blue shorts and blue polo with kok logo, black shoes with white socks
Girls:
Light blue dress with kok logo, black shoes with white socks
Fetching Arrangements
1. Children are not allowed to go home unless there is already someone
authorized to fetch them.
2. The teacher and school guard must be advised as to who will be
fetching your child from school everyday.
3. Children will not be allowed to go home with anyone other than the
specified person/s.
4. Punctuality in fetching your child is very important as your child worries
if he/she is left behind.
Report Card / Assessment
1. Parents are required to get personally the report/assessment card of
their child.
2. There will also be an individual conference between the teacher and
the parents.
Suspension of Classes
1. Storm signal number 1 automatically suspends Preschool classes.
2. Suspension of classes during heavy rains / floods will depend on the
announcement of the local officials or the head of the DepEd or the
discretion of the center. Parents should also be responsible enough to
decide on their children’s safety.
Monthly Activities
Students are encouraged to join extra-curricular activities scheduled by the
school. Attendance to events such as educational fieldtrips, UN Day
celebrations, Christmas programs, Valentine's Day activity, Family Day
celebrations, Graduation programs and other special activities is highly
encouraged.

Field Trip
During the school year, 1 educational trip (out of town) will be organized
for the children’s educational interests. Parents are advised well in advance of
any planned excursions.

Recess
Soft drinks, junk food and bubble gum are not allowed.

Exams
Students in Jr. Nursery, Sr. Nursery and Kinder are given quizzes and
quarterly exams.

Payment of Tuition
Parents are given statement of account monthly. Settlement of the account
should be done within the given month.

Waiting Areas
Parents / guardians are not allowed inside the classroom. They are allowed to
stay in the waiting area only. Personal businesses / meetings are not allowed
inside the school premises.

Child Protection Policy / Anti-Bullying Policy

Kids on Keyboard creates, promotes, and maintains a respectful, safe,
secure, learning environment in order to optimize student learning, safety, and
effectiveness. The school is against any form of abuse especially child abuse.
The school created a committee that will strongly support the
Department of Education’s objective of promoting a zero-tolerance policy for
any act of child abuse, exploitation, violence, discrimination, bullying, and other
forms of peer abuse.
