• In Brazil there are around 370 industrial unities, where 294 in


southeast and 76 in northeast;

• The biggest world sugar cane producer, responsible to produce 44%


of the world sugar cane;

• There are 5 main cooperatives, such as: Coplacana, Copercana,


Camda, Coplana, Copercistrus;

• There are 70.000 producers of sugar cane with the average size
around 200 ha;

• Biggest sugar producers, responsible for 25% of the world sugar.


Brazil export 50% of the sugar production;

• Second biggest producer of ethanol, responsible to produce 20% of


the world production. Brazil export 20% of the ethanol production;
