SITUATION: 
Your favorite actor/ actress is coming here in Manila to shoot his/her upcoming movie. You want
to show your love and support by posting a photo collage on your Facebook wall. Create a collage
containing at least 5 photos of your favorite actor/actress. Arrange photos properly. 

    

TARGET SKILLS: 
► Using Free Transfrom tool
► Using Rotate, Perspective, Scale, Distort, Skew, Warp and Flip in Free Transform mode
 STEPS: 
1. Open Photoshop. Click on Start ► All Programs ► Adobe Master Collection ► Adobe
Photoshop or double-click on the Adobe Photoshop shortcut on the desktop. This will open a
blank workspace in Adobe Photoshop. 

2. Create a new le. Create a new le and name it as MyCollage. Set the page width and height by
600 pixel.

3.1 Familirizing the Free Transform tool Scale, Rotate, Skew. Open one image of your favorite
artist (mine is Taylor Swift so I downloaded some of her pictures. You can also download my les)
and drag it in the Canvas/Stage. After dragging the image in the canvas, close the image le. A new
layer will be created, namely Layer 1.

3.2 Make sure that Layer 1 is selected. Go to menu bar press Edit ►Free Transform ►Scale

3.3 Adjust the image with your preferred size and location. Use the adjustment point to resize
and drag the image to place it in a location. When you are done, press Enter.
3.4 Repeat the step and do it in another image.

Layer 2 under Layer 1. Group the Layer 1 and 2 and name it as “Scale”. We group them so that we
will recognize what variation we used in a picture.

3.5 Minimize the Scale group and just like the previous steps, open two new image and choose
“Rotate”. Press Edit ►Transform ►Rotate. There are default angles such as 180’, 90
CW(Clockwise), and 90CCW(Counter Clockwise) to rotate the image. Group Layer 3 and 4 and
name it as “Rotate”.

3.6 Minimize the Rotate group and just like the previous steps, open two new image and choose
“Skew”. Press Edit ►Transform ►Skew. It slants an item vertically and horizontally. Group Layer 5
and 6 and name it as “Skew”

3.7 Minimize the Skew group and just like the previous steps, open two new image and choose “
Distort”. It stretches an item in all directions. Press Edit ► Transform ►Distort. It applies one
point perspective to an item. Group Layer 7 and 8 and name it as “Distort”.

3.8 Minimize the Perspective group and just like the previous steps, open two new image and
choose “Perspective”. Applies one point perspective to an item. Press Edit ► Transform ►Warp. It
manipulates the shape of an item. Group Layer 11 and12 and name it as “Warp”.

3.9 Minimize the Warp group and just like the previous steps, open two new image and choose
“Flip”. It ips the image vertical and horizontal Press Edit ► Transform ►Flip Vertical/Horizontal.
It manipulates the shape of an item. Group Layer 12 and 13 and name it as “Flip”.

4. Saving the File Add more designs in your layers. Save it as an image(jpeg, png, etc). To save PSD
le to an image, click File ► Save as choose JPEG or PNG. Write your desired lename and save.
After saving, you are done.
