‘bullfrog song’ and the other one is showing the steps of making the origami frog. So,
in this case, the teacher has prepared two video for the lesson. The video used must
be suitable and closely related to the topic that is going to be taught. For example, in

language learnt.

Prepare the The teaching and learning process takes place in a normal traditional classroom,
environment where the pupils are sitting in pairs and the seats are arranged in rows. The
temperature and the air-ventilation of the classroom is regulated by the fans and the
windows. The classroom is fully-furnished with basic facilities such as blackboard,
cupboard, LCD screen, fans and others so that the learning environment is
conducive. Although the learning environment is not very advanced or favorable, the
basic learning facilities are well-equipped.

learners lesson is where the teacher prepares the learners for the day’s lesson. the selection
of the topic on the bullfrog is due to the pupils can relate it to their prior knowledge
as the pupils have already knew the frog because they are living in the rural areas.
Throughout the lesson, the teacher has explained the new elements and things to be
learnt so that pupils can be prepared for learning the next learning. All the learning
activities or process planned are from easy to difficult as a function like a stepping
stone to the next level so that pupils are mentally prepared for the learning. For

example, before the teacher starts the lesson, the teacher discusses about the
bullfrog first and then later when introducing the song, the teacher reads and
explains about the lyric first, then only start teaching the song and the adjectives.

Provide the The whole learning process is both teacher and learner centered. Teacher is not
learning authoritative and also functions as a facilitator the learning process. pupils are given
experience opportunities to involved in the learning process by using the task-based method
and fun learning activities. for example, the making of the frog origami is to create
the pupils’ interest in learning the subject. The worksheets are to provide

Lesson Objectives

EDU 3105 54
Deborah Loi Yi Jing / Siti Sarah binti Abu Bakar/ Muhammad Farizi bin Mat
By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:
1.Fill in the missing words by listening to the song; ( different task sheets A and B )
2.Sing the song and pronounce selected words correctly
3.Identify adjectives in the song;
4. Use adjectives correctly in sentences they have constructed.

By using the objectives of the lesson, teacher can measure the effectiveness of the
lesson and the pupils’ performances. If the objectives are achieved, the teacher can
proceed to the next lesson, but if the pupils have not achieved the learning
objectives, then the teacher might have to revise the lesson again and repeat the
concepts again to ensure pupils understand the subjects. some of the objectives are
created based on the task sheets. Based on the worksheets given to the pupils,
teacher can assess and evaluate the pupils understanding of the topic. For instance,
if the pupil can use adjectives to make 5 out of 8 correct sentences that mean this
pupil has master the topic taught. If the pupils failed to do so, that means he or she
doesn’t really understand the topic taught.

While assessing using the feedbacks during the discussion in the closure, teacher
can test the pupils orally and inspect the pupils’ performance on their understanding
of the subjects based on the feedbacks and answers given. Teacher can ask some

EDU 3105 55
Deborah Loi Yi Jing / Siti Sarah binti Abu Bakar/ Muhammad Farizi bin Mat
questions that require pupils’ thinking to stimulate their responses. Pupils’
performance needs to be evaluated after every lesson as a guide for the teacher for
the preparation for the next lesson as the teacher can take different strategies to
deal with the problems of the pupils’ performances in class.
Media the media effectiveness are closely related to the pupils performance. The utilization
effectiveness of the media can directly affect the pupils’ learning as most of the pupils enjoy
learning using technology. Thus, if the pupils are able to enjoy the songs, video and
the teaching power point slides that are used by the teacher, the media
effectiveness has taken place. This is due to with the use of the media; pupils’
learning can be stimulated. If the pupils can answer the worksheets given by the
teacher or make an origami frog, this means that the teaching using the videos and
the power point presentation has helped the pupils in their learning.

Instructor The instructor’s performance is the teacher’s performance. A teacher is planner for
performance the whole lesson. So, in order to evaluate on the effectiveness of the lesson, a
teacher must reflect and measure the objectives of the lesson planned. Using the
objectives, the teacher can evaluate his or her teaching and do further improvement
on the next teaching or make modification to suit the pupils’ level in the class. For
instance, if the pupils are able to make sentences using the adjectives correctly, the

EDU 3105 56
Deborah Loi Yi Jing / Siti Sarah binti Abu Bakar/ Muhammad Farizi bin Mat
objectives have been achieved. So, the teacher’s teaching plan can be considered
as effective as the learning objectives have been achieved. Besides that, the
teacher’s performance can also be evaluate based on the pupils’ participation and
responses in the class. if the pupils are not able to answer the teacher’s questions or
are not actively participating in the class, this can be due to some reason and the
teacher’s performance can be labeled as not successful. This can be due to the
pupils lack of understanding of the lesson, the lesson taught was not suitable for the
pupils level or too difficult / easy, or the activities are too boring or too teacher
centered. A teacher’s performance will directly affect the pupils’ performance. It
needs to be assessed regularly to ensure effective teaching.
