INTERNAL CRITICISM

The only thing that's different from the movie El Presidente and the manuscript

was that, the movie focuses on the life of Emilio Aguinaldo and his contribution to the

Katipunan and the revolution which of course points out that he will always be at

good side of the picture, because it was his story. On the other hand, the manuscript

doesn't only stressed about aguinaldo's and the katipunan but the katipunan, all the

people and other people including the revolution and the problems they face such of

that they fortunately didn't manage to seek for the stronger answer because of pride

and prejudice for each other they have forgotten that instead it was the Spaniards

they ought to fight, their greatest enemy are their own selves. It also showed their

the mediation of how Filipinos bravely try to unite with each other, although there

were some cowards who does not take the risk on being part of the Katipunan rather

served the Spanish legion but the real men of Philippines with their vigorous blood,

fight for our own rights in our own land despite of the powerful domination of Spain in

our nation.
Contextual Analysis:

The most important historical events portrayed in the movie are the root of the

revolution such as how the katipunan works during the time when Emilio Aguinaldo

had joined the group, the happenings following that, the thirst of Filipinos for unity

and freedom, how they strengthen or even spilled their weaknesses and mistakes

which later reacted to conflicts such as being prideful of Bonifacio and straight-

headed of Aguinaldo. It also showed the sufferings that our nation acquire for being a

slave or in a low level from the Spaniards in our own land and how every ones of the

Filipinos in KKK has a very strong soul and a fearless lion inside them, be eager to

fight for their right and land rather than be still. In terms of politics, government,

society and religion the places and the characters of each one contributes a great

role, especially in the part wherein there was a meeting from most of the wealthy or

powered people in the place and it emphasized their works on the society.

I think why there were some events that are not being shown is because, some

happenings were too confusing or it's not that essential just to help one understand

the thought of the story of Heneral Emilio Aguinaldo because the movie only

cultivates his side.
