Mchs Receives Koto From Arigato Brand Trading

The principal of Mintal CHS, Dr. Johnito O. Galan, together with Barangay Mintal Punong
Barangay, Hon. Rey Amador M. Bargamento and Former Punong Barangay, Hon. Ramon M.
Bargamento II, accepted the Koto musical instruments from Arigato Brand Trading represented
by Mr. Maro Nakatsuka on June 14, 2019 at the MCHS Agila Hall.

“This partnership is very timely as the school officially started this school year the offering of
Special Program for Foreign Language (SPFL) in Nihongo.”, said the PSDS, Mr. Galan.

The said event highlighted the convergence of two cultures through music.

“Please enjoy playing the Koto because this is a very beautiful gesture of love, of charity, of
kindness from our friends from Japan.”, Hon. Amador voiced to students.

Barangay Mintal, being known as the Little Tokyo of Davao, continues to provide the school with
stakeholders who can help the learners be developed holistically just like the Arigato Brand
Trading – supplier of Japanese furniture and other products.

“This is now the challenge for Sir Galan to find someone who can teach how to play Koto and
use these instruments in respect to our donors.” said the former Punong Barangay, Hon.
Ramon.

With the support of Barangay Mintal, MCHS sustains the culture of excellence through shared
leadership and warm reception of international stakeholders.
